Grodan Rockwool is a type of mineral wool created from molten basalt and limestone rock that is compacted into cubes, blocks, or slabs after being spun into cotton-candy-like fibres.

Grodan is a mineral-based substance utilised in hydroponic growth applications because it is manufactured from natural rock.
