Quick Turn by Growhard Australia is a two-part plant growth regulator (PGR) designed for application at the flowering-onset transition — the moment light hours are reduced to trigger bloom. The program runs as Part A first, then Part B exactly 3–5 days later, with dosage scaled to plant size from 30ml per plant at 60cm canopy up to 200ml per plant at 200cm. Compatible with both run-to-waste applications (direct medium dosing) and recirculating systems (reservoir dosing). The A+B Set covers a single full-cycle application across a small-to-medium grow. Manufactured by Growhard Australia, an established Aussie hydroponics additive maker since 1991.

Important — PGR Use Notice

PGRs are not recommended for use on consumption crops, as they are known carcinogens. For ornamental and decorative plants only.

Two-Part A + B Program Part A first, Part B 3–5 days later. One application event per flowering cycle — not a feed-schedule additive.
Applied at Flowering Onset Used when light hours are reduced to trigger bloom — the transition point from veg to flower for photoperiod plants.
Per-Plant Dosage Chart Application rate scales with plant size: 30ml at 60cm, 50ml at 90cm, 100ml at 135cm, 200ml at 200cm. No guesswork or generic mL/L conversions.
Run-to-Waste & Recirculating Apply directly to the medium for run-to-waste, or pour the total amount into the reservoir for recirculating systems.

Grower Tip
  • Apply when plants haven't been fed recently and are looking for food — absorption happens within ~12 hours and you avoid run-off.
  • Shake both bottles thoroughly before measuring each dose. Stratification in the bottle changes the effective concentration.
  • Plan ahead for Part B — it follows 3–5 days after Part A. Write the date on the bottle when you open Part A so you don't miss the window.

How to Use

1
Measure plant canopy — Check each plant's height and width to find the per-plant dose: 30ml @ 60cm, 50ml @ 90cm, 100ml @ 135cm, 200ml @ 200cm.
2
Apply Part A first — Pour the correct amount of A into 2 litres of water and apply directly onto the growing medium of each plant. Best done when plants are due for a feed and haven't just been watered.
3
Recirculating system option — For recirculating setups, calculate the total amount needed across all plants and pour it directly into the reservoir or tub. Example: 3 plants at 105cm canopy each = 70ml each, so add 210ml of Part A total to the reservoir.
4
Wait 3–5 days — Allow Part A to take effect across the canopy. Mark the calendar so Part B isn't missed.
5
Apply Part B — Repeat the same measurement and application process with Part B, exactly 3–5 days after Part A. One full application cycle complete.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use Quick Turn on consumption crops?

No. PGRs are not recommended for use on consumption crops, as they are known carcinogens. Quick Turn is for ornamental and decorative plants only — not vegetables, herbs, fruit, or any crops intended for human consumption.

What is Quick Turn and how is it different from regular A+B nutrients?

Quick Turn is a plant growth regulator (PGR), not a base nutrient. It's applied as a single-event two-step program — Part A then Part B 3-5 days later — at flowering onset, rather than being mixed into your regular feed schedule. Run your base A+B nutrients as normal; Quick Turn is a separate treatment on top of that.

When exactly should I apply Quick Turn?

Apply Part A when light hours are reduced to trigger flowering (the flip to 12/12 on photoperiod plants). Follow with Part B exactly 3-5 days later. Don't apply during vegetative growth or mid-bloom — the timing window is specifically the flower-onset transition.

How do I work out the dose for my plants?

Measure each plant's height and width. The dosage chart is: 30ml per plant at 60cm, 50ml at 90cm, 100ml at 135cm, 200ml at 200cm. Pour the per-plant dose into 2 litres of water before applying directly to the medium.

Can I use Quick Turn in a recirculating system?

Yes. Calculate the total amount needed across all plants in the system and add it directly to the reservoir or tub. For example: 3 plants at 105cm × 105cm canopy = 70ml each, so add 210ml of Part A total to the reservoir. Repeat with Part B 3-5 days later.

Do I need both Part A and Part B?

Yes — the program requires sequential application of both parts. The A+B Set includes both 200ml bottles. The single-part variants (Part A or Part B at 200ml each) are for replacing one bottle if you run out of one component before the other.
