The Stainless Steel Bypass Shears by AC Infinity are built for the cuts your snips can't handle — thicker stems, dense branches and woody growth. Spring-loaded handles push the blades back open after every cut, a non-stick teflon coating keeps resin off the edge, and a soft rubber grip keeps your hand comfortable through a full trim session. The bypass design slices cleanly past the stem rather than crushing it, so plants recover faster.

Spring-Loaded HandlesThe spring-action system opens the handles for you after each cut, cutting hand fatigue on long sessions. Ideal for growers with arthritis or hand strain.
Teflon-Coated BladesNon-stick coating repels sap and plant residue, reducing resin build-up and jamming so the drop-forged blades keep their edge between cleans.
True Bypass CutScissor-style bypass action makes clean cuts without crushing plant tissue — the right tool for live stems you want to heal quickly.
Safety Lock + Adjustable OpeningA sliding lock keeps the shears closed in storage, and a side switch widens the blade opening for cuts up to 5/8" (16mm).

The Grow Guys Tips
  • Wipe the blades with isopropyl alcohol after each session — the teflon coating does most of the work, but a quick wipe keeps the pivot smooth.
  • Keep one pair dedicated to flowering plants to avoid carrying pests or pathogens between grows.
  • Let the spring do the opening — squeeze, release, repeat. Fighting the spring is what tires your hand out.
  • Store with the lock engaged to protect the edge and your fingers.

How to Use

1Slide the safety lock open and, for thicker stems, flick the side switch to the wider blade opening.
2Position the cutting blade against the stem close to the node and squeeze with steady pressure — one clean cut, no sawing.
3Release and let the spring re-open the handles for the next cut. Work through bushes, hedges, bonsai or flowering plants at your own pace.
4Wipe the blades down, engage the lock and store dry.

FAQ

Can these shears cut thick stems and branches?

Yes. The bypass blades are made for thicker, denser stems, and the side switch widens the blade opening for cuts up to 5/8" (about 16mm). For fine trim work, a micro-tip snip is the better tool.

Do the blades resist sap and resin build-up?

Yes. The non-stick teflon coating repels plant residue to reduce resin build-up and jamming. A wipe with isopropyl after each session keeps them cutting like new.

Are they suitable for people with arthritis or hand strain?

Yes. AC Infinity designed the spring-action system and ergonomic rubber grip to reduce hand fatigue, and notes them as ideal for users with arthritis or carpal tunnel syndrome.

Is there a safety lock?

Yes. A built-in sliding lock keeps the shears closed when not in use, protecting both the blade edge and your hands in the toolbox or drawer.
