The Halo 1000W is Digi-Lumen's flagship bar-style LED — a 9-bar tri-fold unit built for growers who need serious output without the heat penalty of a 1000W HPS. At 2700 µmol/s PPF and 2.7 µmol/J efficacy, it delivers professional-grade photon density across a 3.24 m² canopy from a single fixture. The tri-fold frame collapses flat for storage or transport, and five manual dimming steps let you match output to growth stage without needing a separate controller.

2700 µmol/s PPF Maximum photon output at full 1000W draw — built for heavy-flowering stages where canopy saturation matters.
2.7 µmol/J Efficacy Strong efficiency across the range — meaning you're getting usable photons, not wasted electricity running as heat.
5-Step Manual Dimming Set output at 200W, 400W, 600W, 800W or 1000W. Run seedlings at 200W and crank to full for flower — no separate controller needed.
9-Bar Tri-Fold Design Folds flat in seconds. Easier to store between runs, easier to move between spaces, and even light distribution across a 1.8 x 1.8 m spread.
Built-In Driver Everything is in the fixture — no external driver to mount or run cables from. Keeps the tent tidy and eliminates a potential failure point.
Daisy-Chain Up to 30 Units Running a multi-light setup? Chain up to 30 fixtures together and control them all from a single Digi-Lumen ECO Smart Controller (sold separately).

Grower Tips — Getting the Most from Your Halo 1000W
  • Start seedlings and early veg at 200W–400W and raise gradually. LEDs this powerful can stress young plants if run at full intensity too early.
  • Hang at 50–60 cm for veg, drop to 40–45 cm during flower for peak PPFD delivery. Always check for heat stress at leaf tips if you go lower.
  • This light covers a true 1.8 x 1.8 m area — that's a 2.4 m x 2.4 m tent using edge-to-edge fill, but for a 1.8 x 1.8 m tent it's spot on at full power.
  • Running multiple lights? Grab a Digi-Lumen ECO Smart Controller to manage dimming and schedules across the whole chain from one device.
  • The IP45 rating means moisture resistance — not waterproof. Keep the fixture above the canopy and away from direct water contact.

Setting Up Your Halo 1000W

1
Unfold the fixture — the tri-fold frame ships folded. Open it out flat and lock the bars into position before hanging. Takes about 60 seconds.
2
Attach the rope ratchets to the four hanging points on the fixture frame. Thread through your tent's top bars and adjust height to 50–60 cm above canopy for veg.
3
Set the dimmer to your start point — for seedlings and early veg, dial down to 200W or 400W. Find the rotary dimmer on the driver housing of the fixture.
4
Plug in and power on. Check for even canopy illumination across your 1.8 x 1.8 m footprint. Adjust height to balance coverage if needed.
5
Ramp intensity as plants mature. Move through dimming stages — 600W through late veg, 800W–1000W from pre-flower through harvest. Drop height to 40–45 cm during peak flower for maximum PPFD.

Pairs Well With

Extreme 200W Under Canopy Light by Digi-Lumen

Add targeted side and under-canopy light to your Halo setup. Same Digi-Lumen ecosystem, same spectrum balance — fills in the gaps the top light can't reach.

Side Bar 250W by Digi-Lumen

Mount vertical bars alongside your grow for penetration into dense canopies. Works via the same daisy-chain system as the Halo 1000W.

600W e-Ballast by Digi-Lumen

Running a hybrid HPS and LED setup in your room? The Digi-Lumen e-Ballast ties into the same ecosystem for combined scheduling control.

Grow Tents

The 1000W Halo suits a 1.8 x 1.8 m footprint perfectly. Browse tents in that size range to match the light spread without wasting lumens on tent walls.

Inline & Exhaust Fans

Running 1000W still generates heat that needs moving. A properly sized inline fan keeps temps in range and protects your driver from heat-related stress.

Environment Controllers

At 1000W, environmental control matters. Pair with a controller to automate light scheduling and keep temperature and humidity dialled across the full cycle.

Frequently Asked Questions

What tent size does the Halo 1000W suit?

The Halo 1000W covers a 1.8 x 1.8 m canopy area, which makes it a natural fit for 1.8 x 1.8 m or 2.0 x 2.0 m tents. Running it in a significantly smaller tent — like a 1.2 x 1.2 m — means you're paying for output you can't use, and you'll have a harder time managing heat. For smaller spaces, the Halo 400W or 720W are better picks.

Does the Halo 1000W need an external controller?

No. The built-in driver includes a manual rotary dimmer with five output settings (200W, 400W, 600W, 800W, 1000W). You can run it standalone without any additional controller. If you want to manage multiple fixtures or add scheduling and sunrise/sunset ramp functions, the Digi-Lumen ECO Smart Controller supports up to 30 daisy-chained units.

Is this light compatible with standard Australian power outlets?

Yes. The Halo 1000W runs on 220–240V AC at 50–60 Hz, which is standard Australian mains power. It draws 4.17A at full 1000W output. Most standard 10A circuits handle this fine, though if you're running multiple high-draw devices on the same circuit, check your total load against your circuit breaker rating.

What does IP45 mean and is this light safe to use in humid grows?

IP45 means the fixture is protected against ingress from solid objects (4) and water jets from any direction (5). This makes it resistant to condensation and the general moisture in a grow room environment. It is not designed to be directly sprayed with water or submerged. The polycarbonate cover over the LED chips adds additional protection against humidity exposure at the diode level.

How does the Halo 1000W compare to a 1000W HPS?

A 1000W HPS typically delivers 1800–2100 µmol/s PPF, significantly less than the 2700 µmol/s this LED produces at the same wattage. The LED also runs significantly cooler at canopy level, uses no consumable globe, and doesn't require a separate ballast. The Halo 1000W is not a budget-tier swap — it produces more usable photons at the same draw, with a full spectrum better suited to all growth stages than the red-heavy HPS spectrum.

Can this light be used for both vegetative growth and flowering?

Yes. The 4000K full-spectrum output covers the full PAR range from seedling through to harvest. The dual-peak spectrum — strong blue and red peaks visible on the spectrum distribution chart — supports tight internodal growth in veg and dense bud development in flower. Dial the power back during early growth stages and ramp to full output as plants mature.

What warranty comes with the Halo 1000W?

Digi-Lumen covers this fixture with a 2-year manufacturer warranty. The Grow Guys also back every Digi-Lumen product under our standard warranty policy — if something goes wrong, reach out and we'll sort it out.
