Why the Extreme 720W is the better buy

- The Extreme 720W is a high-output LED — any stray light during the dark period can stress photoperiod-sensitive crops, trigger revegetation or hermaphroditism.
- Seal light leaks at tent zips, vent ports and door seams before running the timer.
- Keep status LEDs and controller screens out of the canopy line of sight, or cover them during lights-off.
Common questions about the change
Why was the LED Array 600W discontinued?
Digi-Lumen moved their LED line over to all-in-one fixtures with built-in drivers. The retro-fit Array (which needed an external 600W electronic ballast) was phased out in favour of the Extreme 720W and the Halo 720W. The newer fixtures are lighter, more efficient, and don't require existing HPS gear to run.
Can I still use my old Digi-Lumen 600W ballast?
Yes — your old ballast will still run any 600W single-ended HPS or MH lamp. The Extreme 720W has its own integrated driver and doesn't connect to the old ballast at all. Plenty of growers keep the old ballast on the shelf as a backup HID setup.
Will the Extreme 720W fit in the same space as my old Array?
Yes in most cases. The Extreme 720W is a 6-bar bi-fold fixture roughly 1120mm x 1060mm when unfolded, designed for tents up to 1.5m x 1.5m. If you were running the old Array in a 1.2m or 1.5m tent, the new fixture drops straight in. For 1m x 1m tents, you'll need a smaller light. like the 400w digi lumen.
Is there a warranty on the replacement?
Yes — the Digi-Lumen Extreme 720W ships with a 2-year warranty. If you bought the LED Array 600W from us and it's still inside its original warranty window, get in touch and we'll sort out a path forward.
