FloraMax Cloner is an organic cloning gel formulated for rapid root development from cuttings in hydro, soil, and coco. It is thinner than standard cloning gels, which means faster stem penetration and quicker root strikes without the mess or clogging associated with thicker gel products. The organic formulation uses purified extracted organics including kelp, fulvic acid, and guano-derived compounds — refined to deliver the beneficial molecules without sludge, foam, or pH disruption. Available in 60ml and 250ml.

Thin Gel Formula Thinner than standard cloning gels for faster stem penetration and absorption — quicker root initiation from the first dip without excess residue on the cutting.
100% Organic Formulation Purified extracted organics from kelp, fulvic acid, and guano — refined to retain only the beneficial plant molecules without sludge, foam, or system-clogging residue.
Protective Stem Seal Creates a seal around the cut stem that blocks air bubble entry — a common cause of cutting failure where air interrupts the emerging root zone before it establishes.
Long Shelf Life Stable formula that does not degrade or go crusty after opening — remains effective through repeated use without the consistency or efficacy changes common in cheaper gels.

Grower Tip
  • Do not use Cloner alongside chlorines or hydrogen peroxide — oxidising agents degrade the organic compounds and eliminate the rooting benefits. Choose one approach or the other.
  • Dip once and place immediately into your cloning medium — repeated dipping or leaving cuttings in the gel does not improve results and can introduce contamination to the gel container.
  • Pour a small amount of gel into a separate container for dipping rather than dipping directly into the original bottle — this keeps the stock clean and extends the shelf life of the product.

How to Use

1
Take your cutting — Cut at a 45° angle just below a node, leaving 2–3 sets of leaves above and removing lower foliage to reduce transpiration stress on the clone.
2
Pour gel into a separate container — Dispense a small amount of Cloner into a clean dipping cup to avoid contaminating the stock bottle during use.
3
Dip the stem — Insert the cut end of the stem into the gel and coat thoroughly. The gel seals the cut, blocks air entry, and begins root initiation immediately.
4
Place immediately into your cloning medium — Insert directly into rockwool, coco, or your cloning system before the gel dries. No waiting, no additional steps.
5
Maintain humidity and wait — Keep cuttings in a high-humidity environment (70–80% RH) under low-intensity light. Roots typically appear within 7–14 days depending on species and conditions.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use Cloner with hydrogen peroxide in my cloning system?

No. FloraMax Cloner is an organic product — chlorines and peroxides oxidise the beneficial organic compounds and eliminate the rooting benefit. Do not combine these approaches in the same system or on the same cuttings.

Does it work in aeroponic cloners as well as passive media?

Yes. Cloner works for cuttings placed into rockwool, coco, perlite, and aeroponic cloning systems. The thin gel formula washes cleanly in aeroponic systems without fouling nozzles or disrupting pH.

How long does the gel stay effective after opening?

FloraMax Cloner is formulated for a long shelf life and remains stable after opening without going crusty or separating. Store in a cool, dark location with the lid sealed between uses and it will remain fully effective throughout the bottle.

How quickly should I expect roots?

Root development depends on the species, cutting quality, temperature, and humidity conditions. Under good conditions (24–26°C, 75–80% RH, low-intensity light), most cuttings show root development within 7–14 days.

Which size should I buy?

The 60ml suits growers taking small batches of cuttings infrequently. The 250ml is the better value option for anyone cloning regularly — the long shelf life means the larger size does not go to waste between sessions.
