Roots aren't the only way into a plant. Groigen by Bloom is a foliar growth spray you mist straight onto the leaves through cuttings and veg, for fast, even growth across the canopy. It's a light biostimulant, not a salt feed: southern bluefin tuna hydrolysate, sea water, red algae and vitamin B1, sprayed at 20ml per litre with the lights off every few days, then stopped once you flip to flower. A litre makes 50 litres of spray. It runs alongside your normal root feed rather than replacing it, it contains fish, and it won't cover for a base feed that's short on nutrients.

A second way inAbsorbed through the leaf, so the canopy responds faster than a root feed alone.
Even veg growthHelps the whole canopy grow at the same pace, so fewer plants lag behind.
Light, not heavyA biostimulant mist, not a salt feed, so it won't push your root-zone EC around.
Cuttings to the flipBuilt for cuttings and veg. Florigen takes over as the foliar spray at the flip.
1 litre makes 50 litresAt 20ml per litre, Bloom puts it at about 5–6 plants per litre of spray.

Grower's Tip

  • Spray with the lights off. Bloom's directions are lights-off misting, and it keeps the leaf surface wet longer.
  • Mist both sides of the leaves to light coverage rather than drenching the plant.
  • Keep air moving after you spray so nothing sits wet in dense growth.
  • Use a dedicated sprayer and rinse it after each use. The tuna hydrolysate will leave a smell in a dirty bottle.
  • Stop Groigen at the flip and move to Florigen for the transition into flower.
  • Shake well before use. Colour and consistency vary a little between batches, which is normal.

How To Use It

1Shake the bottle well.
2Mix 20ml of Groigen per litre of clean water in a pump sprayer.
3With the lights off, mist the leaves evenly, top and underside.
4Repeat every few days through cuttings and veg.
5Stop at the flip and switch to Florigen for early flower.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Groigen a foliar spray?

Yes. You mix it at 20ml per litre and mist it onto the leaves, with the lights off, every few days through veg.

When do I stop using Groigen?

At flower. Bloom runs it through cuttings and veg, and Florigen takes over as the foliar spray at the flip.

Can I put Groigen in my reservoir?

No. Bloom builds and doses it as a foliar spray, so it goes on the leaves, not into the root feed.

Do I still need a root feed?

Yes. Groigen is a light biostimulant that runs alongside your base nutrients. It doesn't replace them.

Does it contain fish?

Yes. It's made with southern bluefin tuna hydrolysate. Bloom flags it as an allergen, and it isn't suitable for anyone avoiding animal products.

What's the difference between Groigen and Florigen?

They share the same base ingredients. Groigen is the veg spray; Florigen carries a little more phosphorus and potassium and is timed for the flip into flower.

How far does a bottle go?

A litre makes 50 litres of spray at 20ml per litre. The 300ml makes 15 litres.

Is it certified organic?

No. Bloom makes the range mostly from natural inputs, but the products are not certified organic, so we don't sell them as organic.

Welcome to The Grow Guys

We built The Grow Guys from the soil up — well, coco and perlite. Before we sold gear, we bought it, ran it, and learned the hard way what's worth the money and what ends up in the shed. That's the filter everything on our shelves passes through. No sales scripts, no rebadged junk, no telling you what you want to hear. Just gear we'd run ourselves and advice from people who actually grow. Chasing higher yields, tighter flowers, or your first harvest? You're in the right place.
