- Hang the probe at canopy height, not on the tent floor and not next to the heater outlet. The reading the heater acts on should be the one the plants are living in.
- Heating a tent drops its relative humidity. If you chase temperature on its own you can push VPD too high at night — that is what VPD mode is for, and why a humidifier is the natural partner.
- Put the heater low and keep a circulation fan running. Warm air rises; without a fan you get a warm roof and a cold floor.
- In Tasmania and the southern mainland the heater will work hardest from May to September. Check the app's temperature graph across a full week before you trust a set point — lights-off drift shows up there long before the plants show it.
- 700W into a 1.5 x 1.5m tent is plenty. In a bigger room or an uninsulated shed, treat this as a tent heater and look at a 4-in-1 unit like the AeroLush for the whole space.

Is this the 240V Australian version?
Yes. The AeroFlux we stock is the Australian-market 240V unit with a standard AU plug. VIVOSUN also sells a 120V version for North America — some overseas listings and manuals quote that model's voltage, which is where the confusion comes from. Ours plugs straight into the wall.
What size grow tent will 700W heat?
VIVOSUN rates it for tents up to 1.5 x 1.5m (5 x 5ft). In a tent inside a house it has headroom to spare; in a shed or garage that drops near freezing it will still hold a 1.5m tent but will run harder. For a whole room, look at the AeroLush C08 instead.
What is VPD mode and should I use it?
VPD (vapour pressure deficit) combines temperature and humidity into the single number that actually drives transpiration. In VPD mode you set a target such as 1.0 kPa and the heater adjusts temperature to hold it, using the probe's humidity reading. It is the better mode once you are running a humidifier; if you are only managing temperature, Temperature mode is simpler.
Does it work without the app?
Yes. The panel buttons set mode, target and heat level on the unit itself. The app adds scheduling, Day/Night recipes, graphs and remote monitoring, and ties it in with other VIVOSUN smart gear.
Is it safe to run overnight in a fabric tent?
It is designed for exactly that. The housing is V0 flame-retardant, it shuts off automatically if it tips over, and overheat protection cuts power if the internal temperature climbs past safe limits. Keep it clear of fabric, pots and cables and give it airflow, as you would any heater.
How much does it cost to run?
At full output it draws 700W, but PWM control means it rarely sits at 100% once the tent is at temperature. Real consumption depends on your set point, tent insulation and how cold the room gets — check the app's run data after a week for your own numbers.
How does it compare to an AC Infinity or a tube heater?
A tube heater is on or off with no sensing. A controller-driven heater reacts to temperature only. The AeroFlux has VPD sensing built in, five output levels rather than on/off, and app scheduling, at a lower price than most smart-controller-plus-heater combinations. If you are already in the VIVOSUN ecosystem it is the obvious choice.
