The Vivosun AeroWave E Series is a clip-on grow tent fan built around a dual ball-bearing EC motor, a US-patented clamp, and smart connectivity through the Vivosun GrowHub app. It clips to round poles, square poles, and flat surfaces without slipping, oscillates 80° horizontally and tilts 80° vertically for full canopy coverage, and runs at 36 dB — quiet enough to disappear in the grow room. Available as the 6-inch E6 for tents up to 1.2 x 1.2m, or the 9-inch E9 for larger spaces.

- Running without a GrowHub or VGrow controller? The fan still works — but you're capped at 5 speeds and lose natural wind mode and timer scheduling. The full feature set needs a compatible controller.
- Aim the fan to sweep across the canopy, not at a single spot. The 80° oscillation does the coverage work — let it sweep.
- Use natural wind mode through flower. The varying airflow builds stem strength over time, helping support heavier flower without extra training.
- For a 1.5 x 1.5m tent, two E6s on opposite walls usually give better airflow distribution than one E9 — worth considering if you're between sizes.

Do I need a controller for the AeroWave E Series to work?
No. The fan runs standalone with 5 speed settings and basic oscillation out of the box. Pairing with a Vivosun GrowHub (E25 or E42A) or VGrow Smart Grow System unlocks the full 10 speeds, natural wind mode, timer scheduling, and grow-stage automation through the Vivosun app.
Should I pick the E6 or the E9?
For tents up to 1.2 x 1.2m, the E6 is the right call — single fan, mid-canopy. For 1.5 x 1.5m or larger, the E9 gives broader coverage from a single unit. For a 1.5 x 1.5m specifically, two E6s on opposing walls often outperform one E9 by distributing airflow more evenly across the canopy.
Does the clamp work on square tent poles?
Yes. The US-patented clamp is designed for round poles, square poles, and flat surfaces. Rubber padding protects the surface and prevents the fan rotating or sliding under operation.
What is natural wind mode?
Natural wind mode varies fan speed in an irregular cycle to simulate outdoor wind. Constant unvarying airflow can cause plants to adapt by leaning or becoming less responsive — varying airflow builds stem strength and reduces localised stress over time.
Is it safe to run in a high-humidity flowering tent?
Yes. The IP54 rating means dust ingress is restricted and the fan handles splashing water and high humidity from any direction. Built for the conditions late-stage flower actually runs at.
