Horti Grow is Green Planet's dry base fertiliser for the vegetative stage — an 8-11-21 formula with magnesium, sulphur, and a full spectrum of micronutrients. It's built to drive lush, green growth and set plants up with the structure they need before flower: strong stems, dense foliage, healthy roots. Part of Green Planet's HORTI commercial line, it's fully water-soluble and pH stable with no fillers and zero sediment, so it runs clean through everything from a watering can to injectors and commercial dosing systems. Works in soil, coco, and hydro.

8-11-21 veg formula The ideal spectrum of macro, micro, and secondary nutrients for the vegetative stage — feeding the growth that bigger flowers get built on.
Magnesium, sulphur, micros Mg and S drive photosynthesis and chlorophyll production, with a full micronutrient package to keep early growth balanced.
Zero sediment, system-safe Fully water-soluble and pH stable with no fillers or contaminants — nothing to block irrigation lines, injectors, or dosing systems.
Dry and economical Powdered concentrate stores for years, ships light, and mixes down to a fraction of the per-feed cost of liquid bases.

Grow Guys tip
  • Mix each HORTI product in its own stock tank — combining the concentrates can cause precipitation. Dose into the reservoir separately.
  • Run Horti Cal alongside it through veg for the calcium and magnesium top-up, especially in coco.
  • When plants flip to flower, hand over to Horti Bloom — the line is designed as a stage-by-stage program.

How to use

1
Find your rate on the HORTI Feeding Program chart in Green Planet's resource centre — rates are set per stage and system.
2
Add the powder to water slowly and mix until fully dissolved — it's completely soluble, so give it time rather than force.
3
Check EC and pH after mixing, adjust, then feed through the vegetative stage.
4
At the flip to flower, transition to Horti Bloom and keep Horti Cal running for Ca/Mg balance.

FAQ

Is Horti Grow a complete base nutrient?

Yes. It's a base nutrient carrying the full macro, micro, and secondary spectrum for the vegetative stage. Green Planet designs the HORTI program to run it with Horti Cal alongside for calcium and magnesium support.

Does it work in hydro as well as soil and coco?

Yes. It's fully water-soluble with zero sediment, so it suits hand mixing, stock tanks, injectors, and dosing systems across soil, coco, and hydro.

Can I mix it with the other HORTI powders in one tank?

No. Prepare each HORTI product in its own stock tank to avoid precipitation, then dose each into the main reservoir separately.

When do I stop using it?

At the flip to flower. Horti Grow covers the vegetative stage; Horti Bloom takes over for early to mid flower, then Horti Late Bloom finishes the last two weeks.

Is dry fertiliser harder to use than liquid?

No. It dissolves completely in water and doses like any liquid feed once mixed — with the bonus that a 2.3 kg bag stores longer, ships lighter, and works out cheaper per feed than the equivalent in bottles.
