How to Use It

1Roll the mat out on a flat, dry surface under your propagation tray — it sits neatly under a standard 10 x 20 tray.
2Plug the controller into the wall, then plug the mat into the controller.
3Set your target temperature — most seeds germinate well around 26–30°C at the root zone.
4Add a humidity dome over the tray for a complete germination station — warmth below, humidity above.
5When the batch is done, wipe the mat clean and roll it up for storage.

  • Pair the mat with a humidity dome and you have bottom heat plus top humidity — the two levers that matter most for germination.
  • Keep a thermometer or hygrometer in the dome so you can see tray-level conditions, not just the mat reading.
  • Don't stack trays directly on top of each other — leave airflow between the mat and tray for even heating.
  • In a cold room, run the mat inside a tent or cabinet where ambient temperature is easier to hold up.

Yes. This unit runs on 240V and comes with an Australian power plug. The overseas SUNCORE model is 120V only and is not suitable for Australian outlets — this is the AU-spec version.

How warm does the mat get?

The mat lifts the surface temperature 5–11°C above your ambient air temperature, regulating in the 26.7–30.6°C range under normal indoor conditions. It cannot reach a set temperature independent of the room — in a 10°C space, it will not hit 28°C.

Is it waterproof?
