Athena CaMg is a liquid calcium and magnesium supplement designed to work alongside the Athena nutrient programme — particularly for growers using RO water or soft water that strips out the baseline mineral hardness plants rely on. Calcium supports cell wall integrity and fruit development; magnesium drives chlorophyll production and photosynthesis. Without enough of both, even a well-dialled nutrient programme will underperform. CaMg keeps the foundation solid so everything built on top of it actually works.

Liquid Formula — Easy to Dose Liquid concentrate mixes instantly into your feed solution with no pre-dissolving required — measure, pour, stir, done.
Calcium & Magnesium in One Delivers both calcium and magnesium in a single product — no need to source separate supplements when your water profile is short on both.
Scaled for Any Operation Available in 0.9L, 3.78L, and 18.9L — from single-tent grows through to full commercial facilities running high-volume RO systems.
Part of the Athena Pro System Formulated to integrate cleanly with Athena Pro Grow, Bloom, and Core for a complete, precision-focused nutrient programme.

Grower Tip
  • Add CaMg to your water before base nutrients — particularly if you are using RO water, where conditioning the mineral baseline first avoids potential precipitation when concentrated nutrients are introduced.
  • CaMg will contribute to your total EC — account for it when calculating your overall target EC to avoid overfeeding.
  • If you are seeing interveinal chlorosis (yellowing between leaf veins while veins remain green), magnesium deficiency is a likely cause — check your CaMg dosage and water hardness before adjusting anything else.

How to Use

1
Fill your reservoir or mixing vessel — Start with your base water volume before adding any nutrients.
2
Add CaMg first — Dose at the rate specified in the Athena feed programme for your growth stage. Stir to mix fully.
3
Add base nutrients — Add Athena Pro Grow or Bloom, then Core, following the Athena mixing order. Stir after each addition.
4
Check EC — Measure total EC and account for CaMg's contribution to confirm you are within your target range for the week.
5
Adjust pH and deliver — Bring pH to your system's target range using Pro Balance (pH up) or a pH down solution, then feed your plants.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need Athena CaMg if I use hard tap water?

Generally no. Hard tap water already contains significant calcium and magnesium. CaMg is primarily for growers using RO water or soft water sources. Check your local water report before adding any calcium and magnesium supplement.

Can I use Athena CaMg with other nutrient brands?

Yes. CaMg is a standalone calcium and magnesium supplement that works with any nutrient programme, not just Athena products. Add it to your water before your base nutrients regardless of which brand you are using.

Will CaMg raise my EC?

Yes. CaMg adds dissolved salts to your solution and will increase EC. Always measure EC after adding CaMg and before adjusting pH to get an accurate read of your total nutrient load.

Is Athena CaMg used through the whole grow cycle?

Yes. Calcium and magnesium demands are present throughout veg and flower. The Athena feed programme specifies dosing rates for each stage — generally higher during early growth and adjusted as plants mature into late flower.

What is the difference between the 0.9L and 3.78L sizes?

The formulation is identical — the difference is volume and cost per litre. The 0.9L suits smaller grows or growers new to the Athena programme. The 3.78L and 18.9L are for larger operations where buying in bulk reduces handling and cost per feed.
