The AC Infinity Jeweler's Loupe is a pocket-sized dual-lens magnifier with an integrated LED — the tool growers reach for when they need to inspect trichomes, catch early pest activity, or check bud development at close range. It combines 30x and 60x magnification in one compact folding unit, the LED illuminates clearly in any grow room lighting, and the whole thing fits in a pocket so it is ready whenever you need it.

Dual Lens — 30x & 60x 30x for broad trichome assessment, 60x for close detail work — two magnification levels, one unit, no swapping.
Integrated LED Light Built-in LED illuminates the subject directly so you get a clear, lit view regardless of grow room lighting conditions or angle of approach.
Pocket-Sized & Foldable Compact folding design fits in a pocket or tool bag — always with you in the grow room, no dedicated case needed.
Pest & Trichome Inspection Identifies spider mites, thrip damage, early PM, and trichome ripeness — things that are invisible or ambiguous to the naked eye.

Grower Tip
  • Use 30x for general trichome assessment across a bud — you will see the overall clear-to-cloudy-to-amber ratio clearly without losing the broader picture.
  • Switch to 60x to confirm a specific trichome state on a single calyx or inspect a suspicious spot for early pest or mould activity.
  • Rest the back of your hand against something stable when using 60x — at that magnification, free-hand tremor makes a clear image almost impossible.

How to Use

1
Unfold your chosen lens — Open the 30x for general inspection or the 60x for close detail. Both fold independently from the same housing.
2
Switch on the LED — Activate the integrated LED to illuminate the target directly — particularly useful when inspecting in grow tents where ambient lighting is inconsistent.
3
Position close to the subject — Hold the lens 1–2cm from the target area. At 30x and 60x the focal distance is very short — the loupe needs to be close to resolve a clear image.
4
Stabilise your hand — Rest the back of your hand against a stable surface to reduce tremor, especially at 60x where any movement blurs the image.
5
Inspect and decide — For trichomes, look for the clear-to-cloudy-to-amber ratio. For pests, scan the underside of leaves where mites and eggs concentrate first.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which magnification should I use for trichome inspection?

Start with 30x for a broader view of the overall trichome population. Use 60x when you want to examine specific trichome heads in fine detail or inspect a very small area of plant tissue closely.

Can it detect spider mites and other pests?

Yes. Both lenses provide more than enough magnification to identify spider mites, thrip damage, mite eggs, and early powdery mildew that would be invisible to the naked eye. The LED makes under-leaf inspection significantly easier.

Is a pocket loupe better than a digital microscope for grow room use?

Yes, for practical day-to-day use. A digital microscope gives higher magnification and recorded images but requires setup and a screen. A pocket loupe is faster, requires nothing to set up, and goes wherever you go. Most growers find it covers 95% of their inspection needs.

How do I know when trichomes indicate the plant is ready to harvest?

Clear heads are immature. Cloudy heads indicate peak potency. Amber heads signal degradation. Most growers harvest when the majority are cloudy with 10–30% amber, depending on the effect profile they are after. Check multiple sites across the plant — the ratio shifts over days.

What battery does the LED use?

The LED runs on small button cell batteries replaceable from any electronics or hardware store. Switch the LED off between uses to extend battery life.
