Pairs well with
The HOMEbox Vista Medium is a shelved propagation tent — 1.25 x 0.65 x 1.2m, a 4 x 2ft footprint standing waist-to-chest height, with an adjustable shelf system that turns 0.81m² of floor into as much as 2.4m² of growing area across three levels. A sealable 85 x 85cm window in the front and two smaller windows on the sides let you check on a tray without opening the tent and dumping its climate. Ø16mm frame rated to 100kg, PAR+ reflective lining, and the Total-Blackout zippers HOMEbox puts on everything.
Specifications
- Read the two area figures properly before you buy. The floor is 0.81m² — 125 x 65cm. The 2.4m² number is the total once you count the base and both shelf levels. Plan your trays against the level you will actually use, not the headline.
- Only 65cm deep, so measure your propagation trays. Standard 1020 trays sit across the 1.25m width comfortably; anything deeper than 60cm will not fit front to back.
- Light each level separately. Low-profile LED bars mounted under the shelves are how you make a three-tier tent work — a single fixture up top only lights the top layer.
- The Ø200mm roof tube takes far more fan than 0.81m² needs. A small inline fan is plenty; use the twin Ø100mm rear tubes for cables and irrigation so the roof stays free.
- Keep the windows sealed during dark hours. They are properly light-tight when zipped, but an open window at night is the fastest way to stress a photoperiod crop.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Vista Medium 0.81m² or 2.4m²?
Both, measuring different things. The floor footprint is 0.81m² — 125 x 65cm. The 2.4m² figure is the total usable growing area once you count the base plus the two shelf levels. If you are planning tray layouts, work from 0.81m² per level.
Can I take the shelves out?
Yes. The shelf system is adjustable and the four inserts can be repositioned or removed entirely, so you can run three tiers of propagation, or clear one side for taller plants and keep shelves on the other.
Do the viewing windows leak light?
No, not when they are sealed. All three windows close over and the tent uses Total-Blackout zippers throughout, so a shut Vista Medium is light-tight. Leave a window open at night and you will lose that, so zip them before dark hours.
Can I flower a plant in the Vista Medium?
No, not a full-size one. At 1.2m tall with shelving in the way, this is a propagation and early-veg tent. Raise plants here and move them into a full-height tent — the Q100 or Q120 are the usual next step.
How many propagators fit inside?
Up to twelve large propagators across the full shelf layout, per HOMEbox. Fewer if you pull shelves out to make room for taller plants — that trade-off is the point of the adjustable system.
Does it have a waterproof floor?
Yes, two of them. There is an integrated waterproof base built into the tent plus a second floor element that zips in around the base — useful insurance when you are watering trays above floor level.
