- A clone tent needs barely any air. Run your inline on the lowest speed it will hold, or put it on a controller — pull too hard and you will dry cuttings out before they ever throw a root.
- Because this tent runs happily sealed, a GreenPad Junior is the easiest CO² win there is — no tank, no regulator, no fan. It sits inside, releases CO² as it dries, and helps hold the heat in while it does.
- Hold humidity around 80-90% for the first week. A small humidifier and a heat mat under the tray will do more for your strike rate than anything else you put in here.
- Start the light on the shallow bar and move to a deep bar as the cuttings stretch. 26-42W of LED is plenty in a space this size — more just cooks them.
- Run the heat mat lead, humidifier cord and light cable through separate cable ports. Two 100mm ports means you never have to fight one fat bundle every time you open the door.
- Check for light leaks with the room dark before your first cycle. If the frame is not pushed fully home the seams sit open and light gets in.

What size propagation trays fit inside?
The floor is 75 x 50cm, so two standard 350 x 295mm propagation trays sit side by side with room to spare. If you would rather run one big tray, a Prop 64 (555 x 355mm), Jumbo Clone (530 x 320mm) or Super Dome (530 x 270mm) all fit comfortably.
Do I need an extraction fan on a tent this small?
Not always. Many growers run the clone tent sealed with just a humidifier and heat mat for the first week, then start exchanging air as roots appear. Running it closed also holds heat and CO² in, which is why a CO² pad works so well here. The 175mm sleeves are there when you want them — they take 150mm ducting, and a small inline on its lowest setting is more than enough.
What light should I run in it?
Something small and low-heat. A 26W or 42W LED grow bar hung off the shallow bar is the standard choice — cuttings want gentle light, not intensity, and anything bigger will fight you on temperature in a 0.375m² space.
Can I use it as a mini grow tent instead of for clones?
For seedlings, herbs, microgreens and mother-plant maintenance, yes. At 70cm tall it is not a flowering tent — there is no headroom for a plant to finish. Think of it as the front end of a grow: strike your clones here, then move them into a full-height tent.
Is it genuinely lightproof?
Yes — the shell is 100% light-proof ADF material and the zips seal closed. The one thing that undoes it is a frame that has not been pushed fully together, which stretches the seams. Assemble it properly and check with the room dark before your first run.
What warranty does it come with?
Twelve months against manufacturing and materials defects — faulty stitching, delamination, faulty fittings or faulty fabric — backed by Holland Forge, seaHawk's Australian distributor. Zips carry a 3 month defect warranty, so check them on arrival and tell us straight away if anything is wrong. Wear and tear, condensation damage and incorrect setup are not covered.
