Pairs well with
The Envy NV-500 from On Balance steps up to 500g capacity while keeping the 0.01g resolution of its smaller siblings. The large stainless steel platform fits a sample bag, small jar, or a clutch of trim with room to spare, and the two included weighing trays double as protective lids when the scale's stowed. Green back-lit LCD, four-button operation, auto-off, tare, overload protection — all the standard precision-scale toolkit, in a 206-gram package that lives easily on your bench or in a tool bag. If you've outgrown a 100g pocket scale but don't need the 710-Pro's full concentrate-handling kit, this is the practical middle ground.

What's in the Box
- A calibration weight is not included. Factory calibration is good out of the box, but for long-term accuracy you'll need a check weight separately.
- Use the trays for sticky or fine material — keeps the stainless platform clean and your readings consistent.
- Stable, level, draught-free surface essential at 0.01g resolution.
- Don't exceed 500g. Overload protection saves the load cell once, but repeated bottoming-out shortens its working life.
- Stack the trays over the platform when stowed to protect the load cell during transport.

FAQ
How does the NV-500 compare to the Mini MZ and 710-Pro?
Same 0.01g resolution across all three scales — that part doesn't change. The Mini MZ and 710-Pro both cap at 100g; the 710-Pro is the larger-format model bundled with a full concentrate-handling kit. The NV-500 jumps to 500g capacity, which is the sweet spot for small-batch harvest weighing and bigger nutrient mixes. No kit accessories — just the scale and two trays.
Does it come with a calibration weight?
No. The NV-500 ships with the scale, two trays, and batteries. Factory calibration is accurate out of the box. For ongoing recalibration you'll need a separate calibration weight — check the manufacturer's quick-guide for the recommended check-weight value.
Can I weigh full harvests on it?
Depends on your harvest size. 500g is plenty for small-batch growers, indoor harvests, or weighing dried material in stages. For multi-kilo harvests, step up to a 5 kg+ bench scale — the NV-500 is purpose-built for the small-quantity, high-precision end of the spectrum.
Is 0.01g really practical at higher loads?
Yes within reason. Like all pocket-class scales at 0.01g resolution, the last digit can drift slightly under air movement or vibration, especially when weighing closer to the 500g capacity. Stable surface, draught-free room, settled reading — and you'll get reliable, repeatable numbers.
Can I weigh sticky or messy material directly on it?
Yes — that's exactly what the trays are for. Use the included trays for sticky concentrates, fine powders, or anything that might stain or contaminate the platform. The stainless cleans up easily, but keeping it pristine extends accuracy life.
What does the 3-year warranty cover?
The On Balance 3-year limited warranty covers manufacturing defects and load-cell failures under normal use. It doesn't cover overload damage, dropped scales, water damage, or general wear on the platform or trays. Keep your purchase receipt — for warranty claims, contact us and we'll handle it from there.
