The Myco Mini MZ from On Balance is a hinged-cover pocket scale built for accurate small-batch weighing wherever you need it. 100g capacity, 0.01g resolution, stainless steel platform, blue back-lit LCD — same precision spec as a bench scale, in a 91-gram package that fits in a tool bag. Auto-off, tare, overload protection and one-touch calibration come standard. If you don't need the full concentrate-handling kit accessories, this is the no-fuss way into On Balance precision.
Specifications
What's in the Box
- A 100g calibration weight is not included. Factory calibration is good out of the box, but for ongoing accuracy you'll need to grab a check weight separately.
- Use it on a flat, level surface away from draughts. Air movement and vibration show up immediately at 0.01g resolution.
- Don't exceed 100g. Overload protection saves the load cell, but repeated bottoming-out shortens its life.
- Wipe the platform between uses — sticky residue carries error into your next reading.
- Stow in the closed-cover position to protect the platform during transport.
How to Use It

FAQ
Does it come with a calibration weight?
No. The Mini MZ ships with the scale and batteries only — no check weight is included. Factory calibration is accurate out of the box for most users. For ongoing recalibration, grab a 100g calibration weight separately.
Is 100g enough capacity for my needs?
Depends on what you're weighing. For micro-dosing additives, dry nutrient measuring, small-batch additive prep, hobby work, and small-quantity precision tasks, 100g is plenty. For bulk harvest weighing or anything heavier, you'll want a higher-capacity bench scale.
What's the difference between the Mini MZ and the 710-Pro?
Same 100g capacity and 0.01g resolution on both. The 710-Pro is a larger-format scale shipped as a complete concentrate-handling kit — silicone dab mat, two pots, stainless tray, dab tool, calibration weight, and hard carry case. It also carries a longer 10-year warranty. The Mini MZ is the bare scale at a fraction of the price, ideal if you don't need the accessories.
Is 0.01g really practical accuracy in a pocket scale?
Yes, within the limits of the form factor. The Mini MZ is repeatable to 0.01g across most of its range when calibrated and used on a stable, level surface. Like any pocket-class scale, the last digit can drift slightly under air movement or vibration — keep it on a solid bench, away from fans and open windows.
How long do the batteries last?
The included 2 x AAA batteries should last several months of normal use thanks to the 3-minute auto-off function. Heavy daily use will obviously shorten that — keep a spare set in your tool bag.
What does the 3-year warranty cover?
The On Balance 3-year limited warranty covers manufacturing defects and load-cell failures under normal use. It doesn't cover overload damage, dropped scales, water damage, or general wear. Keep your purchase receipt — for warranty claims, contact us and we'll handle it from there.
