The HOMEbox Ambient R120 is the rectangle done properly — 1.2 x 0.9 x 1.8m, a 4 x 3ft footprint giving 1.08m² of grow space proportioned for even light coverage from a single fixture. Generous zippered access on both the left and right sides means no plant is ever out of reach, even at the back. Ø22mm frame rated to 75kg, PAR+ reflective lining, and at 1.8m tall it fits under a standard ceiling with ducting room to spare.

Rectangular for Even LightThe 120 x 90cm floor is shaped to match the throw of a single bar or panel fixture, so the corners get the same light as the middle.
Access From Both SidesFull-length zippered openings left and right. Watering, training and maintenance without crawling in through the front.
Ø22mm Frame, 75kgThe heavier pole set from the full-size Ambients — light, fan and filter all hang inside with margin left over.
PAR+ Reflective LiningHOMEbox's own inner coating reflects usable light back at the canopy without shifting the spectrum.

Grow Guys Tip
  • Size the light to the rectangle, not a square. Around 300 to 400W of LED covers 1.08m² properly — a bar-style fixture running the 1.2m length is the natural fit for this floor shape.
  • The twin Ø160mm side tubes sit parallel, which makes running ducting straight through the tent clean and simple.
  • Use the Ø200mm roof tube for extraction and the OmniFlow vents for passive intake — at this volume one properly sized inline fan is all it needs.
  • At 1.8m tall, keep training in mind. Once you subtract the light and hanging gear you have roughly 1.4m of canopy room, so top or scrog anything that stretches.

Setting Up Your R120

1Push the Ø22mm poles and connectors together by hand — no tools, up in minutes. Leave clearance on at least one side so the side access stays usable.
2Pull the canvas over the frame and zip it closed, then hang your light along the 1.2m axis so the throw matches the floor.
3Mount the fan and filter inside, run ducting out the Ø200mm roof tube, and use the Ø160mm side tubes for any pass-through runs.
4Open the OmniFlow vents for passive intake, cinch unused tubes closed, and check the zip lines for light leaks with the room dark before planting.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the R120 a 4x3 grow tent?

Yes. At 120 x 90cm it is a 4 x 3ft footprint standing 1.8m tall — 1.08m² of grow space in a rectangle rather than a square.

What size light does the R120 need?

Around 300 to 400W of LED covers 1.08m² for a full cycle. A bar-style fixture run along the 1.2m length matches the rectangular floor — the ULight 360W ECO LED sits right in that band.

Can I grow start to finish in the R120?

Yes. With 1.8m of height and a 75kg frame it runs a full cycle — seedling through harvest — for three to four plants with training.

Does the R120 fit under a standard ceiling?

Yes. At 1.8m tall it clears a standard 2.4m ceiling with around 60cm to spare — enough room for ducting off the Ø200mm roof tube without kinking it.

What size fan does the R120 take?

A 6-inch (150mm) inline fan is the usual match for this volume, and the twin Ø160mm side tubes take 6-inch ducting directly. The Ø200mm roof tube fits an 8-inch fan if you prefer overhead extraction.

The Rectangle Your Light Was Made For
