The HOMEbox Ambient R150 is the wall-hugger — a rectangular grow tent that packs 1.5m of growing width into just 80cm of room depth. At 1.5 x 0.8 x 2m (a 5 x 2.5ft footprint), it slides flat against a wall, into a wardrobe alcove or along the end of a hallway where square tents simply don't fit, and the shallow depth means every plant is within arm's reach from the front. Same German engineering as the rest of the Ambient range: 22mm frame rated to 75kg and the PAR+ reflective lining throughout.

Wide Format, Shallow Depth1.2m² of growing space that sits flat against a wall — 80cm deep means no crawling in, every plant reachable from the front.
75kg Heavy-Duty Frame22mm poles with reinforced connectors carry lights, filters and fans across the full 1.5m span without flex.
OmniFlow AirventsDirectable 125mm vents on both sides with 700-micron MicroMesh insect screens — steered airflow, no bugs.
PAR+ Reflective LiningHOMEbox's own inner coating delivers uniform illumination across the wide canopy — more from every watt you hang.

Grow Guys Tip
  • The ULight 360W ECO is the light for this tent — its panel format suits the shallow 80cm depth where larger square-format fixtures won't fit. Dimmable, so wind it back for veg and open it up through flower.
  • A 150mm (6") exhaust fan on the 200mm roof duct handles extraction — cinch the sleeve down and let the OmniFlow vents feed passive intake.
  • Rectangular tents suit staggered growing — run veg plants at one end and flowering at the other end of the canopy, and rotate through for a steadier harvest cycle under one light schedule.

Setting Up Your R150

1Assemble the 22mm frame — poles and connectors fit together by hand. Position it before fitting the canvas; a 1.5m wide tent is easier to build in place than to move.
2Fit the canvas shell and zip everything closed to check alignment before loading the roof bars.
3Hang your light centred over the canopy, mount the exhaust fan, and duct out the 200mm roof port.
4Open the OmniFlow vents for passive intake, cinch unused ducts closed, and check for light leaks before the first dark cycle.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the R150 a 5x2.5 grow tent?

Yes. At 150 x 80cm it sits in the 5 x 2.5ft class — the wide, shallow format built for walls, wardrobes and narrow rooms.

Why choose a rectangular tent over a square one?

Room shape, mostly. The R150 gives you more grow area than a 1 x 1m square tent while needing 20cm less room depth — and the shallow 80cm depth means you reach every plant from the front instead of climbing in.

What light suits the R150?

The ULight 360W ECO. Its panel format works with the R150's shallow 80cm depth — most larger square-format fixtures are built for 1 x 1m tents and won't fit this footprint.

Will a 150mm exhaust fan fit the roof duct?

Yes. The roof duct is 200mm, so a 150mm extraction fan fits with plenty of sleeve to cinch down light-tight.
