GROWER'S TIP — RUNNING ORGANICS
  • Organic additives tend to pull pH down. Use an organic pH adjuster (not synthetic pH Up/Down) to keep your reservoir balanced.
  • Mix Terpene Gold thoroughly into your nutrient solution before checking EC and pH — organics need agitation to dissolve evenly.
  • Don't overdose. Start at 2 mL/L for early flower and only step up to 4 mL/L from week 3 onwards. More is not better.
  • For DWC and recirculating systems, monitor reservoir cleanliness — organic inputs can build biofilm faster than mineral feeds.

How to Apply

1
Start at early flower. Add 2 mL of Terpene Gold per 1L of nutrient solution from week 1 of bloom (after the flip).
2
Step up at mid-flower. From week 3 of bloom, increase to 4 mL per 1L through to the final swell.
3
Add to your base feed. Mix Terpene Gold into your reservoir or watering can with your standard base nutrients. Stir thoroughly.
4
Check pH after mixing. Organics tend to drop pH. Test and adjust with an organic pH adjuster to your target range (5.8–6.2 for hydro, 6.2–6.8 for soil).
5
Run it through bloom. Apply with every feed across the flowering cycle for full benefit. Outdoor growers — same rate, same schedule.
6
Pair with a final flush. In the last 7–10 days, switch to a clean flush product (like Professor's Ultra Flush) for a smoother, terp-rich finish.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does Terpene Gold actually do?

It's a flowering-stage additive that stimulates extra trichome (resin gland) sites on fruiting and flowering plants, while improving the quality of the essential oils those glands produce. The result is a stickier, more aromatic, more flavourful finish.

Is it compatible with my existing nutrient line?

Yes. Terpene Gold runs alongside any base nutrient program — mineral or organic — without conflict. It adds to your existing schedule rather than replacing anything.

Can I use it in coco or hydroponics?

Yes — works in soil, coco, and recirculating hydro. For DWC and ebb-flow systems, keep an eye on reservoir cleanliness, since organics can build biofilm faster than mineral-only feeds.

Is it safe for certified organic gardens?

Yes. Terpene Gold carries OFC certification (Organic Food Chain Pty Ltd), an approved organic certifying body recognised by the Australian Department of Agriculture. It contains no synthetic chemicals.

When in flower should I start using it?

From week 1 of flower at 2 mL per 1L of nutrient solution. Step up to 4 mL per 1L from week 3 onwards through to the final swell. Run it right through bloom for the full benefit.

Will it shift my pH?

Yes — organics typically nudge pH down. Always test and adjust after adding Terpene Gold to your reservoir, ideally with an organic pH adjuster to keep the whole system clean.

Can I use it as a foliar spray?

No. Terpene Gold is designed as a root-zone additive only. The fish and seaweed inputs aren't formulated for foliar application — apply it through your feed water.

How long does a 1L bottle last?

Roughly 250–500 L of finished nutrient solution depending on stage. At the higher 4 mL/L mid-bloom rate, 1L treats around 250L of feed water. For ongoing or larger grows, the 5L and 10L sizes deliver significantly better value per litre.

Growers First, Retailers Second

Welcome to The Grow Guys

We built The Grow Guys from the soil up — well, coco and perlite. Before we sold gear, we bought it, ran it, and learned the hard way what's worth the money and what ends up in the shed. That's the filter everything on our shelves passes through. No sales scripts, no rebadged junk, no telling you what you want to hear. Just gear we'd run ourselves and advice from people who actually grow. Chasing higher yields, tighter flowers, or your first harvest? You're in the right place.
