AC Infinity knows how to build gear that growers actually want to use — and the 16" Bud Bowl Trimmer is a solid example. Where cheaper bowl trimmers use rubber fingers, this one uses food-grade silicone sweeper curtains driven by a hand crank to move material through the blade consistently and gently. The non-stick stainless steel bowl, interchangeable wet and dry blades, and clear acrylic dome make this a clean, well-thought-out trimming setup for home growers who want a reliable machine rather than a cheap one that falls apart in season two.

Food-Grade Silicone Curtains Unlike rubber-finger designs, the silicone sweeper curtains are gentler on material, non-stick, and far easier to clean. Less residue adhesion means faster turnaround between batches.
Wet and Dry Blades Included Quadruple-edged straight blade for freshly harvested (wet) material and a serrated blade for dried plant matter. Both scenarios covered straight out of the box.
Non-Stick Stainless Bowl The non-stick surface collects trim underneath as you crank, keeping your workspace clean and making post-session cleanup a wipe-down rather than a scrape.
Clear Dome Visibility Watch the trim happen in real time through the see-through dome. Stop when the finish looks right — no guessing, no over-trimming, no lifting the lid every 10 seconds.

Grower Tips — Getting the Best From the AC Infinity Bowl Trimmer
  • Half-fill the bowl maximum. Overpacking reduces tumbling — material stays in the middle and misses the blade. Less in, better result.
  • Match the blade to the job: straight blade for freshly cut wet material, serrated blade for dried and cured. Using the wrong blade produces a rougher finish.
  • Crank slowly and steadily. The silicone curtains do the work — rushing the handle just reduces contact time between material and blade.
  • Clean the silicone curtains and blade immediately after wet trim. Fresh resin wipes off with a damp towel; dried resin takes isopropyl and effort.
  • The rubber anti-slip pad under the bowl matters on smooth benches — use it. A bowl trimmer that shifts around on you mid-crank is a genuine hazard around sharp blades.

How to Use

1
Set up on a stable surface. Place the rubber anti-slip pad under the bowl on a flat bench. Position a collection tray underneath to catch leaf falloff. The trimmer is heavier than most at 5.8 kg — make sure the bench can handle it comfortably.
2
Select and fit your blade. For wet trim, install the quadruple-edged straight blade. For dry trim, switch to the serrated blade. Both slot into position under the grill — ensure it is seated firmly before loading material.
3
Load the bowl and replace the dome. Remove the clear dome and place your plant material onto the grill — half capacity maximum. Replace the dome and attach the hand crank. Do not start cranking with the dome off.
4
Crank and watch. Turn the handle at a slow, steady pace. Watch through the clear dome and stop when the trim looks right — typically 15 to 30 rotations per batch. The silicone curtains move material smoothly and evenly without the balling-up issues common to rubber-finger designs.
5
Remove, collect, and clean. Open the dome, lift the grill, and remove your trimmed material. Collect the leaf trim from the non-stick bowl beneath. Wipe down the blade, silicone curtains, and bowl with a damp cloth or isopropyl alcohol before storing. Detach the handle for compact storage.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between the silicone curtains on this and rubber fingers on cheaper bowl trimmers?

The silicone curtains are broader, more flexible, and gentler on plant material than rigid rubber fingers. They create a more even sweeping action across the full bowl, reducing the balling-up issue common with rubber-finger designs where material clumps in the centre and stops making contact with the blade. Silicone also resists resin adhesion better and cleans with a damp cloth, whereas rubber fingers trap resin in their surface over time.

Does this trimmer work for both wet and dry trimming?

Yes. It comes with two interchangeable blades — a quadruple-edged straight blade for wet (freshly harvested) material and a serrated blade for dry (cured) material. Swap the blade to match your harvest stage and the trimmer handles both cleanly.

Is the 16" big enough, or should I get the 19"?

The 16" suits most home growers comfortably — it handles solid batch sizes and is more compact to store and clean. If you are running multiple plants regularly and want to reduce the number of batches per harvest, the 19" model gives you more capacity per run. If you are unsure, consider how long your current hand-trimming takes — if it is under two hours, the 16" will cover you. If you are spending a full day trimming, step up to the 19".

Is this easy to clean?

Yes — notably easier than most bowl trimmers in this category. The non-stick stainless steel bowl, food-grade silicone curtains, and stainless blades all wipe clean with a damp cloth after a dry trim session. After wet trim, a quick wipe with isopropyl alcohol before resin dries keeps everything in good shape. Do not leave resin sitting on the blade or curtains overnight — it sets hard and makes cleaning significantly more work.

Does this require power or batteries?

No. The AC-BTA16 is a fully manual, hand-crank operated trimmer. No power source, no motor, no batteries required. You control the speed of the crank, which also gives you precise control over how much trimming occurs per batch.

What is in the box?

The AC-BTA16 includes the stainless steel bowl, clear acrylic dome, food-grade silicone sweeper curtains, removable hand crank, quadruple-edged straight blade (wet trim), serrated blade (dry trim), and rubber anti-slip padding for the base.
