Terp Fresh 460g is the bulk-storage workhorse in the Avert humidity range — a compostable two-way pack that holds an entire pound of herb at a steady 62% RH. Drop one into a cure tote, a pound jar, or a sealed dispensary holding bin, and it absorbs moisture when your cure's still releasing, then releases it back when the air dries out. No more brittle, dusty buds. No more mould scares. One 460g pack covers what would otherwise need around sixteen 28g packs — cheaper, simpler, and a lot tidier inside the container. Buy a single for a small commercial cure, the 20 pack for a full season, or the 60 pack case for a dispensary running multiple bins.

Locked at 62% RH Two-way control absorbs and releases moisture to hold the storage sweet spot.
Protects terpenes at scale Stops a whole bin of cure drying out and oxidising while it sits.
Compostable build Food-safe materials that break down — spent packs head to the worm farm.
Sized for pound bins One pack covers up to 460g of herb — a pound jar or 5L+ cure tote.

GROWER'S TIP
  • Wait until your buds hit around 65% RH before sealing — packing wet herb with a humidity pack is asking for mould.
  • One 460g pack handles a pound jar (up to 460g of herb). If you're running larger cure totes — 10L or above — drop in two for a quicker pull-down.
  • Once you're running more than five 28g packs per cure, switch to a 460g. Cheaper per gram of control, fewer packs floating around in the bin.
  • The 60 Pack case suits dispensaries, processors, and contract dryers — talk to us if you need freight worked out before checkout.

How to Use

1
Dry your herb first. Hang dry until stems snap rather than bend — usually 7–14 days at 18–21°C and 55–60% RH.
2
Load your container. Fill the pound jar or cure tote without packing it solid — air space around the bud helps the cure stay even.
3
Drop in one 460g pack. Sit it on top of the herb. No need to mix it through.
4
Burp for the first week. Open the lid for 30 seconds once a day to release moisture and freshen the air. Bigger containers benefit from a longer initial burp — closer to a minute.
5
Swap when stiff. When the pack hardens or your indicator card slips under 58%, change it out. In a sealed bulk bin, expect three to six months per pack.

FAQ

How long does the Avert Terp Fresh 460g pack last?

In a properly sealed pound jar or cure tote, expect three to six months of active control. The pack tells you it's done by going stiff and chalky — once that happens, swap it out. Bigger containers and more frequent opening will shorten the lifespan.

Why pick the 460g over multiple 28g packs?

Yes — the math favours the 460g once you'd otherwise be running more than five 28g packs in a single container. One 460g pack handles a pound of herb. Doing the same job with 28g packs needs around sixteen of them, which costs more per gram of humidity control, takes up more space inside the bin, and is fiddlier to swap out at the end of the cure.

What size container suits the 460g pack?

One 460g pack is calibrated for around 460g of herb — a pound jar, a 5L cure tote, or a similar sealed dispensary bin. Bigger containers (10L+ totes, multi-pound holding bins) want two packs side by side for a faster, more stable pull-down.

Is this the same as a Boveda 320g pack?

Yes — same two-way humidity principle, same 62% RH target, same use case. Avert Terp Fresh 460g is the larger compostable Australian-friendly alternative, with sharper pricing once you move into the 20 and 60 packs.

Can I reuse or recharge the pack?

No — once the pack is hard, the salt brine inside is spent. Toss it in the compost or worm farm and load a fresh one. Trying to rehydrate it will throw off the RH calibration.

Is the 60 Pack a serious commercial buy?

Yes — the 60 Pack is built for dispensaries, contract dryers, and processors running multiple bulk bins through the year. Effective per-pack cost drops to around $7.50, and unopened packs keep in their sealed bag for 12+ months. Freight is heavier on this tier — drop us a line before checkout if you need a remote-area quote.

Why 62% and not 58% or 65%?

62% RH is the long-standing standard for preserving terpenes without inviting mould. Below 58% the herb dries out and the smoke gets harsh; above 65% you're in mould territory. 62% is the safe middle that most growers, dispensaries and bulk handlers settle on.

14g, 28g, or 460g — which one do I want?

Match the pack to the load. 14g packs for small jars holding 7–14g. 28g packs for quarter-load jars up to 28g. 460g packs for pound jars, cure totes, and dispensary bulk bins up to 460g. If your container holds more than a pound, run two 460g packs.
