Pairs well with
Mixing nutrients by the bottle alone is guesswork. The AZ EC Stick Nutrient Meter tells you how strong your feed actually is: dip the end into your reservoir or bucket and a column of blue LEDs lights up against scales for EC, CF and ppm, on both the 500 and 700 scales. There are no buttons and nothing to calibrate, it corrects for water temperature from 0 to 50°C, and it's IP67 waterproof and floats if it slips into the tank. It reads nutrient strength only, not pH, and the LED scale moves in steps rather than showing a decimal readout, so it's built for fast, dependable checks rather than lab work.

Grower's Tip
- Stir the reservoir before you read it, and hold the probe end fully under the surface.
- Rinse the probe in clean water after each reading so residue doesn't build up on it.
- Take the crown cap off now and then to clean the probe.
- Read your source water on its own first, so you know how much of the number is water and how much is nutrient.
- Check which ppm scale your feed chart uses before you mix. The 500 and 700 scales give different numbers for the same solution.
- It doesn't read pH. Run a pH pen alongside it.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does the AZ EC Stick need calibrating?
No. It's factory calibrated and there's no user calibration. You dip it and read it.
Does it measure pH?
No. It reads nutrient strength as EC, CF and ppm. Pair it with a pH pen.
What does it read?
EC 0.2 to 6.0 mS/cm, CF 2 to 60, and ppm from 140 to 4,200 on the 700 scale or 100 to 3,000 on the 500 scale.
Is it waterproof?
Yes. It's rated IP67 and it floats.
What batteries does it take?
Three AA batteries, and they're included. AZ rates them at about three years at 10 readings a day.
How accurate is it?
AZ rates it at ±4% of the reading, plus or minus one LED step.
How is it different from the AZ EC & TDS Pen?
The pen (model 8362) is an LCD meter with buttons and user calibration that reads a much wider range. The stick has no buttons and no calibration, and it's built only for nutrient-strength checks.
