One unit. Brand new, old stock. The Bluelab pH Controller is the set-and-forget wall-mounted pH dosing unit that ran grow rooms around the world for years before Bluelab replaced it with a Wi-Fi version. It automatically monitors your reservoir pH 24/7 and doses pH Up or Down as needed via a built-in peristaltic pump — no phone required, no app to configure, no cloud dependency. Just plug it in, set your target pH, and walk away. If you've been after hands-free pH control without paying for connectivity you don't want, this is it. Includes the Bluelab pH probe and temperature probe — ready to go.

One Unit Available — What You Need to Know
  • This is old stock of the discontinued non-Wi-Fi Bluelab pH Controller. Brand new, never used, still in original packaging.
  • Bluelab has replaced this model with the pH Controller Wi-Fi (currently $1050 new). This unit is $649.95 — a $400.05 saving for growers who don't need app connectivity.
  • This product is no longer manufactured. Bluelab's online support page for this specific model is no longer active, and the manufacturer's warranty does not apply to old stock sold through a retailer after the product has been discontinued. Buy with that in mind.
  • Replacement pH probes and temperature probes are still available from Bluelab and stocked by us — the probe accessories for this controller use a standard BNC connection compatible with current Bluelab probes.
  • Once it's gone, it's gone. We won't be restocking this model.
Fully Automatic pH Dosing Set your target pH and the controller doses Up or Down automatically via the built-in peristaltic pump. No manual intervention needed between checks.
No Wi-Fi. No App. No Dependency. Works entirely standalone. Nothing to connect, no account to create, no service that can go offline. It just runs — every hour of every day.
Overdose Protection Built In Dosing lockouts and high/low alarms prevent runaway dosing. If pH doesn't respond after repeated doses, the controller locks out and alerts you.
Probes Included Comes with both the Bluelab double junction pH probe and the temperature probe for automatic temperature compensation. Nothing extra to buy to get started.
Handles Up to 760L Reservoirs Rated for reservoirs up to 200 US gal / 760 L. Suitable for serious hobby grows and small commercial setups running a single recirculating reservoir.
Auto-Resume After Power Loss Restarts dosing automatically after a power interruption. Your settings are retained and the controller picks up where it left off without manual reset.

How to Set Up the Bluelab pH Controller

1
Wall mount and position probes — Mount the controller on a wall or stable surface within cable reach of your reservoir. Both the pH probe and temperature probe need to sit in the nutrient solution. Position the controller so the display is easy to read at a glance.
2
Route the dosing tube — Feed one end of the 4 m acid/alkali resistant dosing tube into your pH Up or pH Down stock solution container. Route the other end so it drips above the maximum solution level of your reservoir — never submerged. Cut to length as needed.
3
Calibrate the pH probe — Before first use, calibrate using the push-button calibration with on-screen guide. You'll need pH 4.0 and 7.0 buffer solutions. The controller walks you through each step — it's a simple two-point calibration, same as any Bluelab device.
4
Set your target pH and dose timing — Use the menu to program your desired pH setpoint, and set your Dose On and Dose Off times. Dose On controls how long the pump runs per dose cycle; Dose Off controls the gap between doses to allow for mixing. Start conservative — it's easier to increase dosing than to undo an overdose.
5
Set your alarm thresholds — Program your high and low pH alarm limits. If pH drifts outside these limits, the controller flashes an alarm and locks out dosing to protect your reservoir. Check the controller whenever the alarm triggers rather than leaving it unattended.
6
Monitor and maintain — Calibrate the pH probe monthly using Bluelab-compatible buffer solutions. Keep the probe tip wet when not in use. Replace the dosing tube when it shows signs of wear or discolouration. Use undiluted Bluelab pH Up or Down in the stock container — diluted solutions can cause underdosing and inconsistent response.

Frequently Asked Questions

This product is discontinued — is it still worth buying?

Yes, if you don't need Wi-Fi connectivity. The controller itself is brand new and fully functional — the only thing that's discontinued is the product line. The core hardware is the same reliable Bluelab dosing system that ran grow rooms for years. Replacement pH probes and temperature probes remain available through Bluelab's current parts range, both from us and directly from Bluelab, as the BNC probe connection is standard across their current product line. What you lose is the manufacturer warranty pathway and any future firmware or software support — neither of which apply to a standalone controller with no connectivity anyway.

What is the difference between this and the current Bluelab pH Controller Wi-Fi?

The current Wi-Fi model adds remote monitoring and control via the Edenic app, a variable speed pump, and Bluetooth connectivity. This unit has none of that — it operates entirely standalone with a fixed-speed peristaltic pump and on-device controls only. If you want to check pH from your phone or receive alerts remotely, you need the Wi-Fi model at $1050. If you want automatic pH dosing without any connectivity, this does the same core job for $400 less.

Does this control pH Up and pH Down at the same time?

No — this controller doses in one direction only, either Up or Down, which you set during initial programming. Most recirculating hydroponic systems drift alkaline over time, so the majority of growers run it configured for pH Down dosing. If your system actually needs two-way correction, this unit won't suit you — you'd need a dual-channel controller instead.

What pH Up or Down solution should I use with it?

Bluelab specifies using undiluted Bluelab pH Up or Down in the stock container. Using diluted solutions or alternative brands can cause underdosing and inconsistent pH correction, which undermines the whole point of a controller. We stock Growth Technology pH Up and Down, which is high-concentration and performs well — but follow Bluelab's guidance and use it undiluted.

Can I replace the pH probe when it eventually wears out?

Yes — the pH probe on this controller uses a standard BNC connection, which is compatible with Bluelab's current replacement pH probes. These are still actively manufactured and available. The temperature probe is also still available as a Bluelab spare part. This is one of the reasons Bluelab equipment holds its value — probe replacement extends the life of the device significantly rather than forcing a full replacement.

How many units are available?

One. This is old stock clearance — a single brand new unit. Once it sells, this listing will be removed. We won't be restocking the non-Wi-Fi model as it is no longer manufactured.

Is there a warranty on this unit?

No manufacturer warranty applies. Bluelab's warranty does not extend to discontinued products sold as old stock through a retailer. The unit is brand new and untested — if you receive something that is dead on arrival or clearly defective out of the box, contact us directly and we'll work through it with you. But we're being upfront: standard warranty coverage does not apply here, and that's reflected in the price.

Automatic pH. No App Required.

One unit. Brand new. $400 less than the current Wi-Fi model for growers who just want it to work without pulling out their phone. When it's gone, it's gone.
