Pairs well with
The Bluelab Probe Care Kit – pH & Conductivity is the complete service kit for your pH and EC meters in one box. Nutrient salts, oils and organic matter build up on probe faces over time, and a dirty probe reads wrong — which means your whole feed chart is working off bad numbers. This kit gives you both probe cleaners, calibration and storage solutions, and the cleaning tools to bring your readings back to accurate and keep them there. One monthly service takes about as long as brushing your teeth.
What's In The Kit
- Service monthly. If your EC reading looks low, that is the classic sign the conductivity probe needs a clean.
- pH calibration is always 2-point: pH 7.0 first, then pH 4.0. A single-point calibration will not hold.
- EC probes are never calibrated — the 2.77 EC solution is for verifying your probe reads true after cleaning.
- Store pH probes wet in KCl storage solution. Never in RO, distilled or deionised water — it will damage the probe.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does this kit work with all Bluelab pH and EC meters?
Yes, with one exception — the Conductivity Probe Cleaner is not compatible with the Bluelab OnePen (PENONE) or its Replacement Probe (PROBONE). The calibration sachets, KCl storage solution and pH Probe Cleaner suit the full Bluelab range, including pens, Combo Meters, Guardian Monitors and controllers.
Do I need to calibrate my conductivity probe?
No. Bluelab conductivity probes are factory calibrated and never need recalibrating. The 2.77 EC standard solution in this kit is for testing — dip the clean probe in it and if it reads 2.77, your probe is accurate.
Can I store my pH probe in distilled or RO water?
No. Pure water pulls ions out of the glass bulb and reference junction, which causes drift and can permanently damage the probe. Always store pH probes with the tip wet in KCl storage solution — that is exactly what the KCl sachets in this kit are for.
How often should I service my probes?
Monthly is Bluelab's recommendation for a full clean, calibrate and test. Clean sooner if readings look sluggish or your EC probe starts reading low — that is the tell-tale sign of build-up on the probe face.
Will this kit work on non-Bluelab meters?
Yes, mostly. The pH 4.0 and 7.0 calibration solutions, 2.77 EC standard and KCl storage solution are standard reference solutions that suit most glass-bulb pH probes and EC meters. Check your meter's manual for its cleaning requirements before using the probe cleaners on other brands.
