Bowl trimmers are for batches. The CenturionPro DBT Model 1 is for harvests. This is an electric dry batch trimmer — a proper machine — designed specifically for dried flower and herbs, and built to produce hand-quality results without the hand. Up to 10 lbs per hour of dry weight trimming capacity, Soft Tumble Technology that protects trichomes without suction or lubricants, and a compact enough footprint to live in a spare room or move between sites. For home growers who are done spending full days at the trim table, this is the entry point into serious trimming equipment — and it's backed by a 3-year warranty.

Soft Tumble Technology CenturionPro's purpose-built tumbling system produces a hand-quality trim without suction or lubricants. Less trichome loss, better flower integrity, and a cleaner end product than most machines at this price point.
10 lbs Per Hour Dry Capacity Process up to 4.5 kg of dry material per hour. What used to take a full harvest day now takes a few hours — without a trim crew, without the mess, and without the inconsistency.
Portable and Compact At 16 kg with dual carry handles, this is the most portable machine in the CenturionPro DBT range. Move it between rooms, pack it away between harvests, run it wherever the power is.
Kief Screen Upgradeable Add the optional Kief Filter Screen (sold separately) and turn your trim run into a second product line. A 150-micron medical-grade stainless mesh separates kief from trim — zero waste from your harvest.

Grower Tips — Getting the Best From the DBT Model 1
  • This machine is for dry trim only. Do not run wet or freshly harvested material through it — the tumbler is not designed for wet processing and you will damage the machine and your product.
  • Material needs to be properly dried and cured before loading. Underdried material sticks, clogs, and produces a rough finish. If your material is still compressing when squeezed, it is not ready.
  • Run shorter batches initially while you dial in your timing. A couple of test runs will tell you how long your specific cultivar needs for the finish you want.
  • The Model 1 does not have variable speed control — that feature starts at the Model 2. If you grow a wide variety of strains with different densities and structures, factor that into your buying decision.
  • If you plan to add the Kief Filter Screen later, keep your trim bin output clean and dry between uses. Contaminated trim reduces the quality of what you can extract from the screen.
  • Clean the tumbler after every run. A pressure washer makes this fast — CenturionPro machines are designed to break down quickly for cleaning.

How to Use

1
Confirm your material is ready. The DBT Model 1 is a dry-only machine. Material must be fully dried and cured before loading. Stems should snap cleanly, not bend. If there is any flex or moisture, hold off — running damp material will clog the tumbler and produce a poor trim.
2
Set up and power on. Position the machine on a stable surface with a collection tray or bin beneath the output. Plug into a standard 220V Australian outlet. Power the machine on and allow it to reach operating speed before loading material.
3
Load and run your batch. Feed dried material into the tumbler opening at a steady rate — do not overload in a single go. The Soft Tumble Technology moves material through the electropolish stainless tumbler gently, shearing leaf without suction or lubricants. Monitor your trim bin output to gauge progress.
4
Collect your trimmed flower. Trimmed flower exits the tumbler at the output end into your collection area. Leaf trim collects in the trim bin below. Run a couple of small test batches first to dial in the timing for your cultivar — flower size, density, and structure all affect how long each batch needs.
5
Clean after every run. The DBT Model 1 is designed for quick disassembly and pressure washer cleaning. Break it down after each harvest session, clean the tumbler and trim bin thoroughly, and allow to dry fully before storing. A clean machine is a fast machine.

Pairs Well With

CenturionPro Kief Filter Screen

The must-have upgrade for the DBT Model 1. Swap the tumbler after your trim run and process the leaf trim to extract clean, customer-ready kief through a 150-micron medical-grade stainless mesh. Sold separately.

Drying Racks

The DBT Model 1 is a dry trimmer — your material needs to be properly dried before it goes in. A good drying rack setup is the step before this machine, not an afterthought.

Harvest Collection Trays

Keep your trim operation clean and organised. A dedicated collection tray under the output catches leaf trim and keeps your workspace manageable during longer runs.

Curing and Storage

Once trimmed, your flower needs to be stored correctly to preserve what the machine worked hard to protect. Browse our curing and storage range to finish the job right.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use this for wet trimming?

No. The DBT Model 1 is a dry-only trimmer. It is specifically engineered for dried and cured material — running wet or freshly harvested flower through it will damage the tumbler and produce a poor result. If you need wet trimming capability, you are looking at a different class of machine. The bowl trimmers in our harvest range handle wet trim well for smaller operations.

Does the Model 1 have variable speed control?

No. The DBT Model 1 runs at a fixed speed — variable speed control is a feature of the DBT Model 2 and above. For most home growers with a consistent cultivar, fixed speed is not a limitation. However if you grow a wide variety of strains with significantly different flower densities and structures, and want to dial in trim speed per cultivar, the Model 2 would be worth the step up. Talk to us if you are unsure which suits your setup.

What is Soft Tumble Technology and how is it different from a standard trimmer?

Most electric trimmers use a suction system or blower to pull leaf into a cutting blade, which creates significant trichome loss in the process. CenturionPro's Soft Tumble Technology works differently — the electropolish stainless tumbler rotates material gently against a cutting surface without suction or lubricants. The result is less mechanical stress on the flower, better trichome retention, and a product that looks and smells closer to hand-trimmed than most machines can achieve.

How much material can I realistically process per hour?

CenturionPro rates the DBT Model 1 at up to 10 lbs (4.5 kg) of dry weight per hour. Real-world throughput depends on how well-dried your material is, the density of your flower, and how closely you dial in your batch timing. First-time users should expect to run a few test batches before hitting peak efficiency — once you have the timing dialled for your cultivar, throughput is consistent run after run.

What is the Kief Filter Screen and do I need it?

The Kief Filter Screen is an optional upgrade tumbler (sold separately) that turns your leaf trim into a second product. After your trim run, you swap out the standard DBT tumbler for the Kief Screen tumbler and feed your collected trim back through the machine. The 150-micron medical-grade stainless mesh separates clean kief from the remaining trim material. Whether you need it depends on what you plan to do with your trim. If you are discarding trim, the screen pays for itself quickly. If you have no use for kief or extract products, it is optional.

Is this easy to clean?

Yes. The DBT Model 1 is designed to break down quickly for cleaning — CenturionPro machines are pressure washer compatible, which makes post-run cleanup fast. The electropolish stainless tumbler resists residue buildup well. Clean after every run regardless of how busy you are — dried resin in a tumbler is significantly harder to shift than fresh.

Is the DBT Model 1 the right size for my harvest, or should I look at a larger model?

The Model 1 suits home growers and small commercial operations well — at 10 lbs per hour dry, it handles a meaningful harvest without being overkill for a home setup. If you are regularly processing more than 20 to 30 lbs of dry material per harvest and want to get through it in a single session, the DBT Model 2 at up to 25 lbs per hour would be worth considering. Not sure? Talk to us — we would rather help you buy the right machine once than have you outgrow it in a season.
