Pairs well with
Most people lose clones before they ever grow anything. Not because they cut wrong — because a dome on a windowsill has no control over temperature, humidity or light, and cuttings with no roots cannot argue with a cold night. This kit removes the guesswork: a sealed lightproof tent, warmth at the root zone, humidity in the air, the right spectrum overhead, and CO² held inside where it does some good. Five pieces chosen to work together, so you plug it in, close the door, and take cuttings the same day.

Grower's Tip
- Set the heat mat thermostat to 24-26°C at the tray, not the air. Root-zone temperature is what drives rooting — air temperature is a side effect.
- Keep it closed. The instinct is to open the tent and check every few hours; every time you do, the humidity and CO² you built up walks out the door. Look through the window instead.
- Activate one GreenPad Junior at a time with a spray bottle and hang it high in the tent. Ten pads is roughly ten runs — do not open the whole pack.
- Run the light 24 hours on to start. At 26W it is gentle enough that cuttings will not stress under it, and continuous light is the usual go-to while they are rooting. It is plant-specific though — some varieties do better with a few hours of dark, so drop back if yours sulks. Keep it on the shallow bar either way.
- Once you see roots, start cracking a vent and easing the humidity down over about four days. Moving a fully pampered clone straight into a dry tent is what kills them at the last step.
Your First Run
Pairs Well With
The kit is the environment — you still choose your own media. Grab trays and rooting plugs to go inside it.
Temp & Humidity MonitorsA cheap hygrometer inside the tent turns guessing into knowing. Worth it on day one.
Grow TentsRooted clones need somewhere to go. Line up the full-height tent before your first batch is ready.
Inline FansNot needed for cloning, but the tent takes 150mm ducting if you later want active air exchange.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does the kit include trays, plugs or rooting gel?
No — this kit is the environment, not the media. Growers are particular about what they strike into, so we have left that to you. The tent takes two standard propagation trays side by side, or one large tray, and you will find both plus plugs and gel in our propagation range.
Why is there no fan in the kit?
Because cuttings do not want airflow. They have no roots to replace water with, so moving air dries them out. Running the tent sealed keeps humidity, warmth and CO² where you want them. The tent has 175mm duct sleeves for when you do want extraction later — it is a deliberate omission, not a saving.
What do the CO² pads actually do?
You spray a GreenPad Junior with water and hang it inside. It releases CO² steadily as it dries — no tank, no regulator, no controller. In a small sealed space like this it lifts CO² meaningfully, and because there is no extraction it stays put. Ten pads in the pack covers roughly ten runs.
How many clones will it hold?
Around 66 cuttings, depending on the tray and cell size you run. The floor takes two standard propagation trays side by side, or one large tray. Plenty for a home grower, and enough to keep a small perpetual run going.
What light schedule should I run?
24 hours on is the usual starting point for cuttings, and at 26W the light is gentle enough not to stress them. It is plant-specific though — some varieties respond better to a few hours of dark, so if yours look unhappy under continuous light, back the timer off.
Can I use it for seeds and seedlings too?
Yes. Germination wants the same things cloning does — steady warmth, high humidity and gentle light. The same kit runs seeds, seedlings, microgreens and herb starts without changing a thing.
How much power does it draw?
Very little. The LED is 26W, the heat mat is low wattage and thermostat-controlled so it cycles rather than running flat out, and the humidifier is USB powered. One power point and a cheap timer runs the whole thing.
