The HOMEbox Ambient R80S is the cuttings tent — 0.8 x 0.6 x 0.7m, a 2.5 x 2ft footprint standing only 70cm tall, with 0.48m² of floor for dozens of clones and seedlings at once. Where ceiling height permits it sits on top of a full-size tent and shares that tent's ventilation, so a dedicated propagation space costs you no extra floor. Same German build as the rest of the Ambient range: Ø16mm frame rated to 50kg and the PAR+ reflective lining throughout.

Sits On Top of Your TentAt 70cm tall it stacks on a full-size tent where the ceiling allows, running off the same extraction. No extra floor space used.
0.48m² of Clone SpaceRoom for several full propagation trays side by side — dozens of cuttings or seedlings running at once.
Three Ducting TubesØ100mm rear, Ø125mm left and Ø160mm in the roof — plenty of options for tying into an existing ducting run.
PAR+ Reflective LiningHOMEbox's own inner coating spreads usable light across the tray, so a low-wattage fixture does the job.

Grow Guys Tip
  • If you are stacking it on an existing tent, measure twice. You need the height of your main tent plus 70cm plus room for ducting above that — check the ceiling before you order.
  • Tie the Ø160mm roof tube into your main tent's extraction and let the two OmniFlow vents feed passive intake. One fan then serves both tents.
  • Keep the light low-wattage. Cuttings want gentle light and steady humidity, not intensity — a small LED bar or a compact fluorescent is the right call at 0.48m².
  • Run it as a dedicated clone and seedling station so your flowering tent never has to share a light schedule with young plants.

Setting Up Your R80S

1Push the Ø16mm poles and connectors together by hand — no tools, and one person can build this tent in a few minutes.
2Decide where it lives before the canvas goes on. If it is going on top of another tent, lift the bare frame up there first and check it sits square.
3Pull the canvas over the frame and zip it closed, then hang your light and run ducting out the Ø160mm roof tube or the Ø125mm side tube.
4Open both OmniFlow vents for passive intake, cinch unused tubes closed, and check for light leaks with the room dark before the first batch goes in.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can the R80S sit on top of another grow tent?

Yes, where ceiling height permits. That is what the 70cm height is for — it stacks on a full-size tent and ties into the same ventilation, so you get a dedicated propagation space without giving up any floor.

Can I grow a plant start to finish in the R80S?

No. At 70cm tall this is a cuttings and seedlings tent, not a flowering space. Raise young plants in here and move them into a full-height tent — the Q80+ or Q100 are the usual next step.

How many cuttings fit in the R80S?

Dozens. With 0.48m² of floor you can run several standard propagation trays side by side, which puts you in the range of a hundred-plus cells depending on the tray you use.

Does the R80S need its own fan?

No, not if you stack it on an existing tent — tie the Ø160mm roof tube into that tent's extraction and one fan serves both. Standalone, a small inline fan on the roof tube is plenty for 0.48m².

How much weight can the R80S frame hold?

Up to 50kg on Ø16mm poles — the same rating as the Q60+ and Q80+. That covers a propagation light and a small fan comfortably.

A Clone Room That Costs No Floor Space
