Pairs well with
The spike is up. What the orchid wants now is different from what it wanted a month ago: less push on leaves, more potassium to carry buds through to open flowers and hold them. Orchid Focus Bloom is Growth Technology's formula for all orchid types in spike, with potassium lifted to 2.4% w/v, nitrogen eased back, a complete mineral and trace-element profile, and no urea, chlorides or sodium. It is pH buffered for tap water and used at 5ml per litre at every watering, in bark, moss, LECA or semi-hydro. Once the last flower drops, go back to Orchid Focus Grow. Available in 250ml, 1L, 5L and 20L.

Grower's Tip
- Change over to Bloom as soon as the spike is visible, not when the first bud opens. The buds are being built now.
- Keep the 5ml per litre rate steady through flowering. Pushing more nutrient at an orchid in bloom shortens the display rather than extending it.
- Water to runoff. Bark holds salts, and flowering orchids are sensitive to a salty root zone.
- Flush with plain water once a month, and mix a fresh batch each fortnight; a pre-mixed solution is good for about 1–2 weeks.
- When the last flower drops, cut the spent spike as you normally would and switch back to Orchid Focus Grow for the rebuild.
- Store cool and dark, shake before use.

Frequently Asked Questions
When should I start using Orchid Focus Bloom?
As soon as a flower spike appears. Use it at every watering until the last flower drops, then switch back to Orchid Focus Grow.
Is it safe for Phalaenopsis and other common orchids?
Yes. It is balanced for all orchid types in spike and contains no urea, chlorides or sodium.
Can I use Orchid Focus Bloom all year?
No, it is not designed for that. It is the flowering half of a two-bottle system. For a single year-round formula, use Orchid Focus.
Does it contain urea?
No. Nitrogen is supplied as nitrate only. Urea has been shown to be toxic to certain orchids.
Do I need to adjust the pH?
No, not with most tap water. The formula is pH buffered.
How much do I use?
5ml per litre of water at every watering, with an optional 8ml per litre boost once a month. Flush with plain water monthly.
Will it make my orchid flower?
No fertiliser can force a spike on its own; light, temperature and the plant's maturity decide that. What Bloom does is supply the extra potassium and complete minerals the plant needs once a spike has started, for vigorous and prolific flowering.
Does it work in semi-hydro and LECA?
Yes. It is formulated for both hydroponics and soil, which covers bark, sphagnum, LECA and semi-hydro.
