Frequently asked questions
Do these need a separate driver or ballast?
No. The TLED is driverless — the driver is built into the bar, so there's nothing extra to mount or wire. You hang it and plug it straight into the wall.
What's the difference between the Grow and Bloom bars?
The Grow bar runs a 6500K cool-white spectrum suited to vegetative growth and propagation. The Bloom bar runs a 2700K warm spectrum tuned for the flowering stage. Many growers run both across a cycle.
Can I run the TLED as my only grow light?
For propagation, seedlings, herbs, and small single-plant setups, yes. For a full flowering canopy these bars are best used to supplement a main fixture rather than replace it — they're designed to add spectrum, not to be the sole light over a large grow.
How close can I hang them to the plants?
Closer than a high-wattage fixture. Because the TLED runs cool, you can position it near the canopy without the heat stress you'd get from a hotter light. Watch the plants and lift the bar if you see any bleaching.
How long do they last?
The diodes are rated for 50,000 hours. Running an 18-hour veg photoperiod, that's years of service before you'd notice meaningful output drop-off.
