Pairs well with
A potted lemon that flowers and drops its fruit, or a strawberry patch that runs to leaf, is usually telling you the feed is wrong for the job. Fruit Focus is Growth Technology's complete liquid nutrient for fruiting plants, made in Australia and formulated, in Growth Technology's words, to encourage heavy fruit yield in everything from citrus to strawberries. Potassium sits at 3.3% w/v, the joint-highest in the Focus range with Vegetable Focus, against 2.1% nitrate-nitrogen, with all 12 essential minerals, no urea, chlorides or sodium, and pH buffering for tap water. Use it at 3–7ml per litre in pots and beds or 5–10ml in hydro. Available in 250ml, 1L, 5L and 20L.

Grower's Tip
- Start at the low end of the range (3ml per litre in soil) on young or newly potted plants and step up as they mature and set fruit, as Growth Technology directs across the range.
- Potted citrus is the classic customer for this bottle. Feed at every watering through the warm months and keep the pot draining freely; citrus hates wet feet more than it hates hunger.
- Strawberries in towers and gutters dry out fast. Water little and often with the feed in it, and flush with plain water monthly.
- Fruit drop on a young citrus tree is often the tree thinning its own crop. Consistent watering and feeding reduces it; doubling the dose does not.
- Mix fresh each fortnight. A pre-mixed solution keeps for about 1–2 weeks.
- Store the concentrate cool and dark and shake before use.
How To Use It
Pairs Well With
Tasmanian-made potting mix. Fresh mix plus a complete feed is most of what a potted plant needs.
Silica by Growth TechnologyPotassium silicate for stronger cell walls and stems. Add it to the same watering can.
Rootzone by Growth TechnologyRoot biostimulant for the weeks after repotting or transplanting, when the plant is rebuilding roots.
Bugs for Bugs Yellow Sticky TrapWhitefly and aphids find fruiting crops early. Hang a trap at canopy height to catch the first arrivals.
Specialty Plant FertilisersEvery plant-specific feed we stock, the whole Focus range included.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Fruit Focus suitable for citrus trees in pots?
Yes. Growth Technology formulates it for a wide variety of fruiting plants from citrus to strawberries. Use 3–7ml per litre in potting mix at every watering and flush the pot monthly.
Can I use it on strawberries?
Yes. Strawberries are one of the two crops Growth Technology names for it. It works in soil, towers and hydroponic gutters.
Does it contain urea?
No. Fruit Focus is free from urea, chlorides and sodium. Nitrogen is supplied as nitrate.
How much do I use?
3–7ml per litre of water in soil and potting mix, 5–10ml per litre in hydroponics, at every watering. Start low and increase as the plant matures. Flush with plain water once a month.
Do I need to adjust the pH?
No, not with most tap water. It is pH buffered.
What is the difference between Fruit Focus and Vegetable Focus?
Both carry 3.3% potassium. Vegetable Focus has more nitrogen, calcium and magnesium for fast-growing annual crops like tomatoes and cucumbers; Fruit Focus holds nitrogen back for longer-lived fruiting plants like citrus and berries.
What is the NPK?
Growth Technology publishes a full analysis rather than a ratio: nitrate-nitrogen 2.1%, phosphorus 0.5% and potassium 3.3% w/v, plus calcium, magnesium, sulfur and six chelated trace elements. The full table is in Specifications.
Will it stop my lemon tree dropping fruit?
Not on its own. Young citrus often drops fruit to thin its own crop, and irregular watering makes it worse. Consistent feeding and watering give the tree the best chance of holding what it sets.
How long does a mixed solution last?
About 1–2 weeks. After that, replace it.
