Can fabric pots be reused?
Yes — they're built for multiple seasons. Empty the used media, shake clean, hand-wash or machine-wash on a gentle cycle, and dry fully before storing. If you've had pests or root disease, sanitise the pot in a mild bleach solution before the next planting.
What size fabric pot do I need?
Match the pot to the plant's final root mass and how long it'll stay in there. 5L–10L suits seedlings, herbs, and short-cycle crops. 15L–25L covers most medium-stature plants and photoperiod-sensitive crops. 30L–50L handles vigorous indoor or patio plants. 90L is for trees, large outdoor specimens, and long-term raised-bed-style setups.
Are they suitable for hydroponics?
Yes — fabric pots work in flood-and-drain (ebb-and-flow) systems and as top-fed containers. The breathable walls let nutrient solution absorb evenly through the root zone. Sit them on a tray, not directly in standing solution.
Why does the 5L and 10L have a side opening?
The hook-and-loop side tab on the smaller sizes lets you transplant the entire root ball without disturbing it — peel open the side, slide the plant out, and place it straight into its next home. It's the gentlest way to move a young plant up a pot size.
Will the larger pots collapse when I fill them?
No — every size from 15L upwards has a wire rim that holds the pot open and self-supports the shape while you add media. The 5L and 10L sit comfortably once filled but don't have a wire rim.
Do I need a saucer or tray underneath?
Yes for indoor use — water drains through the walls as well as the base, so a flat surface alone isn't enough to catch run-off. A run-off tray or self-watering base is the simplest solution. Outdoors on soil or paving, a saucer is optional.
