Grow Guys Tip — When to Check and Adjust pH
  • Check pH when the nutrient is first mixed, after adding top-up water or additives (especially alkaline ones), and daily in recirculating systems — water and nutrient uptake shift pH constantly.
  • Don't let pH sit high for long. The precipitate that forms usually won't re-dissolve, and those nutrients are lost to your plants.
  • Safer than hydroxide doesn't mean harmless — this is still a concentrated alkaline solution. Gloves and eye protection are smart, and dose gradually with mixing between checks.

How to Use

Test your nutrient solution with a calibrated pH meter or test kit.
