Alg-A-Mic is BioBizz's vitality stimulator, made from a high-grade, 100% organic seaweed concentrate that is extracted by cold pressing rather than with chemical solvents. Its job is recovery and resilience: BioBizz positions it as the bottle that comes to the rescue when plants have suffered from overfeeding, deficiencies, diseases or temperature fluctuations, and it keeps leaves green by stimulating chlorophyll absorption. The NPK level is deliberately low, which is why BioBizz says it is impossible to overdose, and why it slots on top of any feed without rebalancing anything. It goes into every substrate through veg and flower at 1–4ml per litre, and doubles as a foliar spray at 1–2ml per litre up to the second week of flowering. Available in 500ml, 1L and 5L.

Grower's Tip
- Keep a bottle for emergencies even if you do not run it every week. Overfed, cold-snapped or sulking after a transplant, Alg-A-Mic is the bottle BioBizz reaches for, and the low NPK means you are not piling more feed onto a stressed plant.
- Foliar with the lights off. Spray at the end of the dark period or just before lights-on, and get the undersides of the leaves where the stomata are. Wet leaves under full light is how you burn them.
- Stop foliar at flowering week 2. That is BioBizz's cut-off, and it is good practice anyway: wet flowers invite mould, and nobody wants seaweed on the harvest.
- It is not on the chart in propagation. The AU schedule starts Alg-A-Mic in veg at 2ml per litre. If cuttings are stressed, a foliar at 1–2ml per litre is the BioBizz-sanctioned route.
- Clean the sprayer. Seaweed concentrate clogs a nozzle if it dries in it. Rinse the sprayer and run clean water through it after every use.
- Dose by ml, not EC. A low-NPK seaweed extract will not move an EC meter. 2ml per litre is 20ml in a 10-litre can; 1ml per litre is 1ml in a 1-litre spray bottle.
- Shake, measure, stir. It settles. Shake before you pour, and mix the can or the sprayer through.
- Impossible to overdose is not an invitation. BioBizz's advice across the range is that it is always better to be modest than to add more. Follow the chart; it climbs to 4ml per litre in flowering weeks 5–6 and that is plenty.
How To Use It
Pairs Well With
The other stimulant in the range. Bio-Heaven is amino acids for energy and uptake; Alg-A-Mic is seaweed for recovery. Same can, different jobs.
Bio-Grow by BioBizzThe feed Alg-A-Mic sits on top of through veg and flower. Low NPK means it never throws the feed out.
Bio-Bloom by BioBizzFlowering feed from week 1. Alg-A-Mic climbs to 4ml per litre in weeks 5–6, right as Bio-Bloom is at full rate.
Root-Juice by BioBizzHumic acid and seaweed for the roots in propagation and veg; Alg-A-Mic takes over the seaweed job from veg onward.
Spray Mate by HigginsA 2L foliar sprayer for the 1–2ml per litre leaf application. Rinse it after every use; seaweed clogs nozzles.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is BioBizz Alg-A-Mic?
Alg-A-Mic is BioBizz's vitality stimulator, made from a high-grade, 100% organic seaweed concentrate extracted through cold pressing rather than chemical solvents. BioBizz describes it as the product that comes to the rescue when plants have suffered from overfeeding, deficiencies, diseases or temperature fluctuations, and says it ensures green leaves by stimulating chlorophyll absorption.
What is the Alg-A-Mic dose rate?
1–4ml per litre of water in the feed, on every substrate through the growing and flowering period. The Australian schedule runs 2ml per litre in veg, then 2, 2, 3, 3, 4, 4, 3, 2ml per litre across flowering weeks 1–8, with plain water in week 9. There is no propagation dose on the chart.
Can I use Alg-A-Mic as a foliar spray?
Yes. The BioBizz AU schedule says Alg-A-Mic can also be applied as a foliar one to three times a week until the second week of flowering, at 1–2ml per litre of water. Spray with the lights off and stop at flowering week 2, as BioBizz instructs.
Is it really impossible to overdose Alg-A-Mic?
That is BioBizz's claim, and the reasoning is that it contains only a low level of NPK, so it does not push the feed out of balance the way a fertiliser would. It is still a concentrate, so follow the chart rather than treating the claim as a licence; BioBizz's own advice is that it is always better to be modest than to add more.
When should I reach for Alg-A-Mic?
Two situations. As a scheduled part of the BioBizz feed from veg to the end of flower, and as the recovery bottle when a plant has been overfed, is showing a deficiency, has had a disease scare or has been through a temperature swing. The low NPK means you can add it to a stressed plant without stacking more feed on top of the problem.
Is Alg-A-Mic organic?
BioBizz lists Alg-A-Mic with an Ecocert attestation and Control Union certification as an organic input under both the EU regulation and the US National Organic Program, plus Clean Green and EnvirOganic. Those are overseas input certifications rather than an Australian organic certification. It carries the BioBizz vegan icon on the AU schedule.
Can I use Alg-A-Mic in coco or hydroponics?
Coco, yes: BioBizz says every substrate, with its standard coco condition of adjusting pH and using an enzyme product. Hydroponics is not listed by BioBizz as an application for Alg-A-Mic, so keep it to soil and coco, or use it as a foliar on hydro plants instead.
How is Alg-A-Mic different from Root-Juice?
Both contain seaweed, but Root-Juice pairs it with humic acid and is aimed at the roots in propagation and veg, finishing by week 3 of flower. Alg-A-Mic is pure cold-pressed seaweed concentrate aimed at the whole plant's vitality from veg to the end of flower. On the BioBizz chart they overlap in veg and hand over in early flower.
Will Alg-A-Mic change my EC or pH?
Barely, on EC: it is a low-NPK organic seaweed extract, so the meter will not tell you much. Dose by volume. On pH, BioBizz says adjustment is essential on coco; in soil no target is given.
Which size should I buy?
At 1–4ml per litre the 500ml makes 125–500 litres, the 1L makes 250–1,000 litres and the 5L makes 1,250–5,000 litres. If you are mostly using it as a foliar at 1–2ml per litre, a 500ml lasts a long time; if it is in every feed from veg to harvest in a full room, go for the 1L or 5L.
