The HOMEbox Ambient R300+ is a 3 x 1.5 x 2.2m grow room — a 10x5 footprint giving you 4.5m² of growing space with 2.2m of headroom. The long rectangular shape suits a spare room or garage wall better than a square tent of the same area, and with zippered access down both sides you can reach every plant without climbing inside. The 150kg frame carries a full lighting and ventilation rig with room to spare.

4.5m² of FloorThree metres long by 1.5m deep — two light zones side by side, or one long run of pots along a wall.
150kg FrameØ22mm steel poles with reinforced plastic connectors. Two LEDs, a 250mm fan and a carbon filter is nowhere near the limit.
2.2m HeadroomExtra height means you can hang lights properly and still run tall plants without burning the tops.
Access All SidesGenerous zippered side panels with no stray light. Work the front row or the back row without shuffling pots.

Kitting This Tent Out
  • Lighting: two Treegers GL650W+ LEDs, one per half of the tent. That is 1300W across 4.5m² and leaves plenty of margin under the 2000W ceiling HOMEbox rates the R300+ for.
  • Air: a SigilVentus 250mm silenced fan pulling through a SigilVentus 250mm carbon filter, mounted to one of the 250mm side ports.
  • Every port on this tent is side or rear mounted — there are no roof ports. Plan your filter and ducting to hang off a side wall, not the ceiling of the tent.
  • Use the 100mm rear ports for power leads and probe cables so you are not running them through a ducting port.
  • At 3m long you want air moving end to end. A couple of clip fans at canopy height stop dead spots in the middle.

Setting It Up

1
Open both cartons and lay out the poles and connectors. Clear roughly 3.4 x 1.9m of floor so you have room to work around the frame.
2
Build the base rectangle first, then the four uprights, then the top frame. No tools needed — the connectors push together by hand.
3
Slide the canvas over the frame from one end and work it along. Two people makes this far easier on a 3m tent.
4
Hang your lights off the top bars, then mount the filter and fan to a 250mm side port. Get the heavy gear up before you bring plants in.
5
Run passive intake through the opposite side ports so air pulls the full length of the tent rather than short-circuiting.
6
Close every unused port, run the lights at night with the room dark, and walk around the tent checking for leaks before you start a cycle.

Pairs Well With

Questions

Will the R300+ fit under a standard Australian ceiling?

Yes, in most homes. The tent stands 2.2m assembled and a standard Australian ceiling is 2.4m, leaving around 20cm clearance. That is enough for the tent itself, but check your ducting run — a filter mounted high plus a 90 degree bend can eat that gap fast. Garages and older homes with lower ceilings need measuring before you order.

What size is the R300+ in feet?

It is a 10x5 tent. The footprint is 300 x 150cm, which works out to roughly 10 feet long by 5 feet deep, with 2.2m (just over 7 feet) of height.

Does it arrive in one box?

No. The R300+ ships in two packages — one for the frame, one for the canvas. They can occasionally arrive on separate days depending on the carrier, so do not panic if only one turns up first.

How much light does a 4.5m² tent need?

Two Treegers GL650W+ LEDs is our pick — one per half, 1300W total. HOMEbox rates the R300+ for up to 2000W, so there is headroom if you are running CO₂ or pushing hard, but two 650W units covers the space properly for most growers without cooking the room.

Are there ports in the roof?

No. Every port on the R300+ is mounted in the sides or the rear wall — four 100mm, two 250mm and two 350mm. Plan on hanging your filter and fan against a side wall rather than venting straight up.

Can the frame hold a filter and fan?

Yes. The frame is rated to 150kg. Two LED fixtures, a 250mm fan and a carbon filter comes in well under that — the Ø22mm poles are the reason this tent handles a full rig without sagging.
