Weeks 3 and 4 of flower are when the sites you set at the transition start turning into size. Phat by Bloom is the flower enhancer for that window: two brown kelps with boron, molybdenum and humic acid, run at 2.5ml per litre to push the plant toward denser, heavier flowers rather than airy growth. It picks up where Ultra leaves off and hands over to Ooze from week 5, and it runs on top of your base nutrients. It's not a PK booster: at well under 1% phosphorus it supports the swell rather than feeding it, so keep your base flower feed at full strength. A litre makes 400 litres of feed.

Grower's Tip

  • Start Phat in week 3 of flower, straight after Ultra finishes. The timing is what makes it work.
  • Keep your base flower nutrients at their normal rate. Phat adds to them, it doesn't stand in for them.
  • Hand over to Ooze in week 5. Running Phat past its window doesn't add anything.
  • Add Phat with your other nutrients and adjust pH last. The concentrate is alkaline.
  • Shake well before use. Colour and consistency vary a little between batches, which is normal.
  • Watch your EC as you stack additives in mid-bloom, and back off if leaf tips start to burn.

How To Use It

1Shake the bottle well.
2From week 3 of flower, add 2.5ml per litre to your nutrient solution alongside your base nutrients.
3Mix thoroughly, then check and adjust pH last.
4Feed as normal at every watering through weeks 3–4 of flower.
5From week 5, stop Phat and move on to Ooze.

Frequently Asked Questions

When do I use Phat?

Weeks 3–4 of flower at 2.5ml per litre, every feed. It follows Ultra and hands over to Ooze in week 5.

Is Phat a PK booster?

No. Its NPK is 0.0051-0.5258-0.0143, so it carries very little phosphorus or potassium. It's a kelp and trace mineral flower enhancer. PK by Bloom is the range's PK booster.

Can I use Phat without Ultra and Ooze?

Yes. Each Bloom additive works on its own. The full sequence is how Bloom designs the program, not a requirement.

Do I need to cut back my base nutrients?

No. Bloom designs its additives to run alongside your base feed at its normal rate, so you add Phat on top rather than in place of anything.

Does Phat affect pH?

It can. The concentrate is alkaline (pH 8–10), so add it with your nutrients and adjust pH last.

Can I use it in soil or coco?

Yes. Bloom lists soil, coco and hydro, all at the same 2.5ml per litre.

How long does a bottle last?

A litre makes 400 litres of feed at 2.5ml per litre. The 300ml makes 120 litres.

Is it certified organic?

No. Bloom makes the range mostly from organic sources, but the products are not certified organic, so we don't sell them as organic.

Welcome to The Grow Guys

We built The Grow Guys from the soil up — well, coco and perlite. Before we sold gear, we bought it, ran it, and learned the hard way what's worth the money and what ends up in the shed. That's the filter everything on our shelves passes through. No sales scripts, no rebadged junk, no telling you what you want to hear. Just gear we'd run ourselves and advice from people who actually grow. Chasing higher yields, tighter flowers, or your first harvest? You're in the right place.
