Bio-Grow is BioBizz's liquid growth fertiliser, and it is built on something most bottles on the shelf are not: 100% organic Dutch sugar beet extract, the naturally fermented by-product of turning beet into sugar, better known as vinasse. Enzymes turn its starches into glucose, and the natural sugars and potassium in it feed the bacteria in your substrate as well as the plant. That is the whole BioBizz idea in one bottle: feed the soil life and the soil life feeds the plant. It is a complete fertiliser rather than a veg-only feed. BioBizz runs it from the first true leaves right through flowering to the end of fruiting at 2–4ml per litre, on most soils and substrate mixes, and on coco with a little extra care. Available in 500ml, 1L and 5L.

Grower's Tip
- Run it through flower. The classic mistake with a grow/bloom pair is dropping the grow bottle at the flip. BioBizz is explicit that Bio-Grow carries the food for your beneficial microbes and should run through veg AND flowering. It only tapers to 1ml per litre in the last feeding week.
- Dose by ml, not EC. Organic feeds do not register on an EC meter the way mineral salts do, so a reading will tell you very little about what is in the can. Measure it: 2ml per litre is 20ml in a 10-litre watering can, and follow the chart.
- Pick the right chart. The AU schedule has two: one for coco and light mix, one for fertilised substrate (a pre-charged potting mix like Terra Professional). Fertilised soil already carries food, so Bio-Grow holds at 2ml per litre in flower rather than climbing to 4.
- Coco is a different animal. BioBizz's own coco note is short and blunt: adjust pH and use an enzyme product. Cannazym does that job, and a cal-mag like Pro Cal covers what coco growers usually find themselves short on.
- Shake it, then measure. It is a fermented beet extract and it settles. A quick shake before you pour keeps every dose the same strength.
- Modest beats more. BioBizz's own words: "it is always better to be modest than to add more." Week 9 is plain water to flush what is left in the substrate before harvest.
- Rinse your gear. Sugar-based feeds leave a residue in watering cans and drip lines. A rinse after each feed means you are not growing something you did not plan for.
- Do not double up at the flip. Bio-Grow and Bio-Bloom overlap for all of flowering by design: Bio-Grow runs 3ml in week 1 while Bio-Bloom starts at 1–2ml. Follow the chart rather than adding both at full strength.
How To Use It
Pairs Well With
The other half of the feed. Bio-Bloom brings the phosphorus and potassium for flowering while Bio-Grow keeps feeding the microbes underneath it. BioBizz runs both from flowering week one.
Root-Juice by BioBizz4ml per litre through propagation and veg builds the root mass that makes every later feed work harder.
Top-Max by BioBizzHumic and fulvic acid flowering stimulator. Starts at 1ml per litre in week 1 of flower and climbs to 4ml before the flush.
Alg-A-Mic by BioBizzCold-pressed seaweed for stressed plants and green leaves. Low NPK, so it sits on top of Bio-Grow without overfeeding.
Cannazym by CannaBioBizz says an enzyme product is essential on coco. Cannazym breaks down dead root material and keeps the coco working between cycles.
Organic Gardening RangeLiving soils, worm castings, inoculants and the rest of the organic shelf in one place.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is BioBizz Bio-Grow and what is it made from?
Bio-Grow is BioBizz's liquid growth fertiliser. Its base is 100% organic Dutch sugar beet extract, known as vinasse, the by-product of turning sugar beet into sugar through natural fermentation. The starches are treated with enzymes to produce glucose, which along with other plant nutrients makes a rich food source for the microbes in your substrate. The natural sugars and potassium activate the bacterial flora in the soil, and BioBizz's pitch is a more productive soil and a sweet-tasting harvest.
What is the Bio-Grow dose rate in ml per litre?
2–4ml per litre of water, per the BioBizz data sheet. The Australian nutrient schedule runs 2ml per litre in propagation and veg, then 3ml in the first week of flower. On coco or light mix it climbs to 4ml per litre for weeks 2–4 before easing back; on fertilised substrate it holds at 2ml through flower. Both charts drop to 1ml in week 8 and plain water in week 9.
Do I keep using Bio-Grow during flowering?
Yes. BioBizz describes Bio-Grow as a complete fertiliser for the whole growing and flowering period, and the AU schedule carries a note that it contains important food sources for beneficial microbes and should be used through veg AND flowering. Bio-Bloom is added alongside it from week 1 of flower, not swapped in for it.
Is Bio-Grow certified organic?
BioBizz lists Bio-Grow with an Ecocert attestation and Control Union certification as an organic input under both the EU regulation and the US National Organic Program, plus Clean Green and EnvirOganic certification. Those are overseas input certifications rather than an Australian organic certification, so if you grow under an Australian certified scheme, check with your certifier before relying on it. It also carries the BioBizz vegan icon on the AU schedule.
Can I use Bio-Grow in coco coir?
Yes, and BioBizz publishes a coco / light mix schedule for it. The condition BioBizz attaches is worth taking seriously: on coco you must adjust pH and use an enzyme product. In practice that means a pH pen, a pH adjuster and something like Cannazym in the feed. Coco growers also commonly add a cal-mag.
Can I use Bio-Grow in hydroponics or DWC?
We would not. BioBizz lists hydroponic systems as an application for Bio-Bloom, Top-Max, Root-Juice and Bio-Heaven, but not for Bio-Grow, and there is no hydro column on the AU schedule. A sugar-based organic feed in a recirculating reservoir is also asking for a biofilm problem. Keep Bio-Grow to soil and coco.
What is the NPK of Bio-Grow?
BioBizz does not publish an NPK analysis for Bio-Grow on its current product page or 2026 data sheet, so we do not print one. Dose by ml per litre from the schedule rather than trying to hit an EC or ppm target.
Will Bio-Grow show up on my EC meter, and do I need to pH it?
An EC meter measures dissolved mineral salts, and Bio-Grow is an organic extract, so the reading will understate what is actually in the solution. Dose by volume. On pH: BioBizz says adjusting pH is essential on coco. For soil, the BioBizz schedule gives no pH target, so a healthy, biologically active mix is doing that work for you.
What is the difference between the two Australian feed charts?
The coco / light mix chart is for substrates that carry little or no food of their own, so Bio-Grow climbs to 4ml per litre in early flower. The fertilised substrate chart is for pre-charged potting mixes that already hold nutrients, so Bio-Grow stays at 2ml per litre through flower. Use the chart that matches what is in your pots.
Which size should I buy?
At 2–4ml per litre the 500ml makes 125–250 litres of feed, the 1L makes 250–500 litres and the 5L makes 1,250–2,500 litres. A few pots in a tent will get through a 500ml over a cycle; a full room or outdoor beds justify the 5L.
Is Bio-Grow safe to have around kids and pets?
It is a plant fertiliser, so treat it like one. The BioBizz label says keep out of the reach of children, do not swallow and use following the instructions. Store it sealed and off the floor like every other bottle in the grow room.
