The Horti Air Heat Shield is the fix: a curved deflector that clips straight onto the tube and steers that radiant heat away from your canopy and tent walls, so you can run a heater in a tight space without cooking the plants nearest to it. Three lengths match the Horti Air Heat Saber range, and the same shields fit the matching lengths of the Cultiv8 Tube Heater range too.

Match the shield to your tube length, not just the wattage. The 31cm shield fits 60W tubes, the 61cm fits the Heat Saber 120W plus the Cultiv8 80W and 120W (both 60cm tubes), and the 122cm fits 240W tubes. There's no shield for the Cultiv8 180W (90cm) or 300W (150cm) bars.

Which shield fits my tube?

Go by tube length. 31cm shield: Heat Saber 60W and Cultiv8 60W. 61cm shield: Heat Saber 120W, Cultiv8 80W and Cultiv8 120W. 122cm shield: Heat Saber 240W and Cultiv8 240W. The Cultiv8 180W and 300W bars have no matching shield.

Do I actually need one?

If your tube mounts close to plants, tent fabric or anything heat-sensitive — yes. Radiant heat works line-of-sight, and whatever directly faces a 90°C tube cops the most of it. In a roomy space with the tube well clear of everything, you can run without one.

Does the shield reduce the heating?

No — it redirects rather than blocks. The warmth still ends up in your grow space; the shield just stops it beaming straight into the nearest leaves or wall on its way there.

Can I fit it while the heater is running?

No. The tube surface sits at 91–96°C in operation — switch the heater off and let it cool completely before clipping the shield on or repositioning it.

I already own a Heat Saber — will the shield fit my older tube?

Yes — these are the same clip-on shields that previously sold alongside the Heat Saber tubes. Pick the length that matches your tube and it clips straight on.
