Base feeds cover nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium and a handful of traces, and not much else. Sea Minerals by Bloom is concentrated sea water: the full spread of dissolved ocean minerals and trace elements, magnesium and sulfur included, in their natural balance. It's dosed at just 0.13ml per litre in every feed, veg to bloom, so a litre makes about 7,600 litres. It fills small gaps rather than feeding the plant, so it sits on top of your base, and the dose is small enough that you'll want a syringe to measure it.
Specifications
Grower's Tip
- Measure it with a syringe. At 0.13ml per litre, a 10-litre watering can takes 1.3ml.
- Don't round the dose up. It's a trace product, and the rate is small on purpose.
- Pair it with Humate, as Bloom does, so the roots can make use of the minerals.
- Living soil and long-term outdoor beds are where it earns its keep.
- Add it with your other nutrients and adjust pH last. The concentrate is alkaline.
- Shake well before use. Colour and consistency vary a little between batches, which is normal.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is Bloom Sea Minerals?
Concentrated sea water carrying the full spread of dissolved ocean minerals and trace elements, used as a supplement on top of your base feed.
How much do I use?
0.13ml per litre, every feed. A 10-litre can takes 1.3ml, so measure it with a syringe.
Is it salty?
It's made from sea water, which is why the dose is so small. At 0.13ml per litre it adds very little to your feed.
Do I need to cut back my base nutrients?
No. Bloom designs its additives to run alongside your base feed at its normal rate, so you add Sea Minerals on top rather than in place of anything.
Can I use it in soil?
Yes. Bloom lists soil, coco and hydro at the same rate, and it's a natural fit for living soil.
How long does a bottle last?
A litre makes about 7,600 litres of feed at 0.13ml per litre. The 300ml makes about 2,300 litres.
Is it certified organic?
No. Bloom makes the range mostly from natural inputs, but the products are not certified organic, so we don't sell them as organic.
