- The GL300W suits single-plant grows, small tent setups, and growers who want professional gear without paying for coverage they don't need.

What is the difference between the GL300W and the GL420W?
The GL300W is built for a 1.0 x 1.0m canopy and outputs 825 μmol/s PPF. The GL420W covers up to 1.2 x 1.2m at 1155 μmol/s PPF. Both run the same 2.8 μmol/J fixture efficacy and Full-Spectrum Fusion spectrum. The GL300W suits smaller tents and single-plant grows; the GL420W suits standard 1.2m tents. If your space is larger than 1.0m square, the GL420W is the correct choice.
Does the GL300W come with a dimmer?
No — a controller is sold separately. Without one connected, the GL300W runs at full 300W output. To unlock dimming, you need the Treegers Precise T Dimmer, the Treegers Growcast, or any compatible 0–10V universal controller. The T Dimmer is the simplest and most affordable starting point for most growers.
Is the GL300W suitable for all growth stages?
Yes — the Full-Spectrum Fusion design with 4000K, 5000K, and 660nm diodes supports seedlings, clones, vegetative growth, and flowering in a single fixture. No spectrum switching, no light changes between stages. Dial the intensity down for early stages and up for flower using a connected dimmer.
Can I run the GL300W in a 1.2 x 1.2m tent?
Technically yes, but the GL300W is optimised for up to 1.0 x 1.0m. In a 1.2m tent, you will see noticeably lower PPFD at the canopy edges and reduced uniformity compared to a fixture sized correctly for that space. For a 1.2 x 1.2m tent, the GL420W is the right fixture.
Does the GL300W require any assembly?
No — the GL300W ships as a fully integrated unit with the four LED bars, driver, and frame pre-assembled. Attach the stainless cable hangers, hang it at the correct height, connect your power cable and controller, and you're ready to go. There is no frame assembly required, unlike the larger GL1000W+.
What warranty does the GL300W carry?
The GL300W carries a 3-year manufacturer warranty from Treegers. The LED bars are rated for 60,000+ hours of operational life. Note that the warranty excludes damage caused by exposure to high sulphur environments — take precautions if you use sulphur-based sprays or pesticides near the fixture.
