How to Set Up the Precise T Dimmer

Power off your fixture before connecting — Always connect the dimmer before switching power on. This protects the control circuitry and ensures a clean startup at the correct intensity setting.

Connect to your fixture's control port — The LLT-M12 self-locking connector clicks into the matching control port on your Treegers fixture. Push until it locks. No tools needed.

Mount the dimmer box within reach — Use the included mounting plate and 3M tape to fix the unit on the outside of your tent or on a nearby surface. The 3-metre cable gives you good flexibility for positioning.

Set intensity to match your growth stage — Start seedlings and clones at 30–50%. Ramp veg up to 60–80% as the canopy develops. Push to 90–100% in peak flower once your plants have proven they can handle the load.

Link multiple fixtures with Fixture Link Cables — To control more than one fixture from the same dimmer, connect them in series using Treegers Fixture Link Cables (sold separately). One T Dimmer can handle up to 50 fixtures with no voltage drop across the chain.

Can I control multiple fixtures from one T Dimmer?

Yes — one Precise T Dimmer can control between 20 and 50 Treegers LED fixtures at full precision with no voltage drop. Use Treegers Fixture Link Cables (sold separately) to connect fixtures in series from the dimmer.

What is the difference between the T Dimmer and the Growcast?

The T Dimmer is a manual dial controller — you set the intensity by hand and it stays there until you change it. The Growcast is a smart controller with app connectivity, automated scheduling, sunrise/sunset ramping, and multi-room capability. Both use the same 0–10V connection, so you can start with the T Dimmer and upgrade to the Growcast later without touching your fixture wiring.

What happens if I run a Treegers fixture without a dimmer connected?

Without a controller connected, Treegers fixtures run at 100% output. That is fine for established plants in flower but too intense for seedlings, clones, or early veg. Connecting the T Dimmer lets you throttle back and protect young plants while they establish.

Is the dimmer waterproof?

Partially — the cable and connector are rated IP67, meaning they are fully protected against water ingress in grow room conditions. The dimmer box itself is rated IP20, so keep it outside the tent or away from direct water exposure. The included mounting plate makes it easy to fix the unit on the exterior of your tent.

Does the T Dimmer work with non-Treegers LED lights?
